Craving sushi on Friday night - first thought to stay on this side of the river. Have had take out before from Okinawa and it was okay. So ordered online which was very convenient! Picked up our order 30 minutes from time placed - it was ready upon our arrival. Restaurant was not crowded at all (odd for Friday night during Lent) which seemed unusual.
We ordered Sushi for two which includes two special rolls and 16 pieces of sushi, two salads with ginger dressing and Miso soup. Soup was bland at best. One sip and it went in the trash - Salad was fine, fresh and crisp - dressing always good. Pickled ginger had an odd scent to it - sushi was soft and tasteless, rolls were bland and mushy. They did however comply to my special request for rice/bean paper instead of the traditional Nori. Price Chopper's sushi is fresher tasting than what we received this time at Okinawa.
Not sure if it was an off night, but we certainly will not go back any time soon. We'll venture to the other side of the river for our sushi from now on. Yuck!
