Friday, February 24, 2012. We had a 7:00 p.m. reservation for 4. we arrived at 6:45 pm. No room at bar, barely got inside the door as many parties both with and without reservations were waiting to be seated. Hostess or whomever accepted reservations had no clue how to schedule. More parties kept arriving and asked how long the wait was for seating. Hostess kept replying "just a little while". There were at least 4 tables set up and waiting for customers, but no one was seated in those tables.
A couple without reservations had been there since 6:00 p.m. finally left at 7:30 pm, as more parties with reservations kept arriving. We were finally seated at 7:55 pm. There were still 4 or 5 tables fully set up, but no one was being seated there. A complimentary glass of wine would have been a nice gesture of apology for our long wait. Our waitress Kayla arrived very soon and we ordered right away, as we already had one hour to view the menu while standing in the doorway area. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was very good, Chicken sorrento for me, Ghost pasta for my granddaughter, One daughter had Cioppino: mussels, calamari, shrimp and scallops that were done perfectly. Other daughter had homemade pasta -- again, very good. No manager seemed to be around. Obviously, the hostess was not experienced to handle a weekend evening, and couldn't give a straight answer. She needs to go back to washing dishes. Kudos for our waitress Kayla. It was obvious that she was very experienced at handling several parties of customers.
Total Bill: $117+ which included 2 glasses of chianti, 1 diet coke and a milk before adding gratuity. --- from NorthcountryNurse
