“So Charming...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2011

We had a such a lovely stay last month. It was a very last minute trip and we quickly called the Millstream from a google search on our drive up. We were hoping for at least an adequate and clean room, but were delightfully surprised at how quaint, charming and comfortable our room was too!! ...also the breakfast was the icing on the cake! We are getting married up in the area this August and will recommend that some of our guest stay here for sure!!

We enjoyed a fantastic room and breakfast! Karen, the owner, was very friendly and I am sure another Woodstock trip with lodging at the Woodstock Inn on the Millstream will be planned for the future. Very comfortable beds, clean, quiet and reasonable prices will be sure to please even the most discriminating patron. Don't bother looking elsewhere in Woodstock.

Very clean and pleasant rooms with a location that can't be beat. -- Staff is very helpful and friendly. You'd really have to nit pick to find any negatives here.

We came up for the Midnight Ramble and decided to book a room last minute. We had an awesome experience and would highly recommend! Karen greeted us from the moment we arrived with a warm and friendly smile.

We were absolutely delighted when we walked into the room- it was very spacious, clean, and really felt like a home away from home. From the hardwood floors, to the cozy quilt comforter, the little kitchenette, the deep soaking tub and the organic lavender bath gels & shampoo- we were pleasantly surprised.

And the breakfast was much more than we expected- fresh blueberries, hard boiled eggs, home made granola, cereal, pastries, soy milk (and regular milk), bagels and lox- we've never been that full from a continental breakfast before!

We would definitely stay again and definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable yet simple pleasures type place.

If you're headed up to the quiet of the catskill mts, then The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream is the place to stay. Situated on a beautiful piece of land it's a place that has a vibe that's truly magical. The rooms are cozy and comfy and clean. The breakfasts are a treat. Most of all
Karen the Innkeeper is a gracious hostess who clearly never looses sight of making her guests feel welcome.

We had a lovely stay - the grounds are beautiful and rooms very clean. The breakfast was simple but plentiful, only downside was that it wasn't available until 9am.
The rooms are compact and the shower is very good with organic products and fluffy towels. Bed comfy but has a plastic mattress protector directly under the sheet which gets a bit hot!
Just a 5 min walk into Woodstock, our landlady had lots of helpful suggestions for places to eat within walking distance.

We started staying at the Woodstock Inn On The Millstream in May, 2007 & have stayed there eight more times since then. Karen, the innkeeper, & Bonnie her substitute are both extremely knowledgeable of places to visit, hike, & dine. Breakfast is light & healthy and is served in the office/sunroom with a beautiful view of the gardens, grounds, & the millstream. Be sure to have some of the delicious granola! The standard rooms are small but cute & cozy. The rooms with the private decks are more expensive but, it is a delight to sit on the deck and watch the stream while having morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. The location is fantastic. It is a short, enjoyable walk to town and a perfect jumping off place to explore locations in Greene County, Dutchess County, and other locations & attractions in Ulster County. Even after all our visits there is still so much in the region left to do & see. The thing we like best about the inn is how we feel at home while having the pampering of being away. It is always so nice to see Karen & Bonnie, how they greet you and make you feel so welcome. The thing we like least is having to check out on our last morning. We always book our next stay as we check out, so we always have our next stay to look forward too.
