Stayed here for one night with my pitbull and 2 cats and boyfriend for $140.
Carlos was extremely accommodating and did not charge me for the three animals which i appreciate VERY much.
I was told that I could check in at 12 and if i needed to check in any earlier to just give the hotel A call.
We arrived there about 20 after 12 and no one was inside the office. The nice man inside cleaning up the bar area called up one of the owners ( i forget her name SORRY!) and she said check in isnt until 1:00 but to give her 20 minutes and she'll be there.
That made things a bit more stressful because our car had broke down a few days prior so we loaded up the animals into the taxi to get us here from our rental home about a mile and a half away.
My older cat started shivering waiting outside in the carrier and crying so my boyfriend took them inside and stood inside with the cats in their carriers while I waited outside with our dog.
In just about 20 minutes she arrived, gave us our key and we went right into our room that was furthers behind the bar/havanna club.
The room was clean enough.
There is a mini fridge and a microwave.
The remote didnt work but that doesnt really matter.
The t.v quality makes you wonder how anyone still watches tv in this quality but once again, not really a big deal.
The bar is HOT. ... We are going to go down to the bar one night just to grab a drink and then we will see if its always that crowded. Its a very popular amongst the younger crowd so know that if you are trying to stay somewhere quaint and quiet. --Though i did not hear any noise throughout the night and it was superbowl sunday !
The hotel was nice enough to spend the night or even multiple nights especially if u are traveling with animals, the rooms are very safe for cats.
also this is one of few hotel that says its pet friendly and actually accepts cats.
Definitely not someplace i would stay with children.
For the money it could definitely be a lot nicer and a lot more updated especially windows and bathrooms but being that its one of few places to stay located directly in the town of woodstock, and if you are traveling with pets it is probably the only place in woodstock you can stay with them, you might as well spend the money.
Hope someone finds this helpful !

We stayed the night here out of necessity, it being somewhere where we would not normally stay.

The staff were pleasant and friendly, however upon arriving at our room we were appalled. It was outdated, smelly, dirty and hideous. All the furnishings looked 50 years old. It was also cold and the blinds didn't shut properly so the lights from outside shined through all night.

The bed linen was clean enough and we had no choice so had to stay and left at 7am the next morning.

The location is good, a 10 min walk to the centre of Woodstock which is great.

At $260 a night it is appalling value for money. Do yourself a big favour and don't stay here.

It's convenient to town and they will rent for one weekend night when most places in the area will not. And the restaurant is quite good but... the rooms look and smell like the haven't been upgraded since 1978,

My husband and I went to the lodge this past weekend and had a wonderful time! The room was in ok condition, not dirty like some of the other reviewers have said. The room was a little outdated and the comforter was in poor condition but a decent room. We figured we wouldn't spend much time in the room anyway and decided to go out to the bar. It was awesome! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The following night we decided to dine at the restaurant and the food was phenominal! All in all, we had a great trip.

The place is a bit run down, but not so bad as other reviews say. It consists of several cabins spread out among a semi-wooded area. Each cabin has 3 or 4 rooms. There's a bar and restaurant in the center building. It's about 20 minutes walk from the center of town. For a 2 or 3 night stay, this is a decent choice for less than the B&Bs in Woodstock.

I'm a pretty low-maintenance traveler, have stayed in lots of "rustic" and "bare bones" places throughout the Third World....but have never had an experience quite like this. I called a bunch of places in Woodstock and they were all booked or had a 2-night minimum...I should have been skeptical when this was the only place that had vacancy for 1 night!!! The rooms are in little old bungalows, pretty run-down..."rustic" and "full of character" would be kind descriptions. That would have been OK - a quirky adventure. However, when we arrived our toilet was dirty, rusty, filled with Lord knows what and did not flush. They did send someone to fix the flush. At 2:45am our neighbors on one side came home and were up drinking and making noise for over an hour, while our other neighbors had left their dog outside for the night and it kept wailing for a couple of hours. In the morning when we opened the shower, there were dirty paper towels on the shower floor, and when I got in I fell through the shower floor. All this for $170 + tax. The cheapest motel outside of town would have been a big step up. Save yourself money, and more importantly a night's sleep, and stay somewhere right outside town if everything in Woodstock is booked. These people are crooks and should be shut down.

I am currently at the woodstock lodge and have no choice but to stay here being it is a holiday weekend and cannot find anything else. i will be uploading photos when i get home to show you just how disgusting this place is. our room is filthy. we are here for a wedding and went to walmart to buy an entire bedroom package of a comforter, pillows, pillowcases, sheets, towels and flip flops for the shower. the mold and bugs are disgusting. My friends are next door in a carpeted room and found an open bag of potato chips, a dog bone, old tissues, a beer cap and an ear plug under their bed. Our windows dont shut and their is a 2" space under the air conditioner that we had to plug with a sheet. The rug hasnt been vacuumed in days. Another couple staying here doesn't even have a shower head. They just have a pipe sticking out of the wall. Absolutely gross. This place should be condemned. If i could give it negative 10 stars i would. Photos to follow.
