Description: Joshua's is the longest serving restaurant in Woodstock, feeding and delighting patrons with high-quality, healthy, delicious food for 42 years! We strive to use the freshest, locally sourced ingredients we can find. Once a "java lounge", our upstairs dining room and bar offers an airier alternative to our main dining room. We look forward to being of service.

“Great food and nice ambience.”

We met a friend for dinner. Great food, good service. The room is warm and full of lots of interesting people. Sometimes you even spot a celebrity!

“Good food, rushed service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

We had the three course fixed-price menu on Sunday night after the crowds had gone. The service was friendly, but the three courses were crowded together with the main arriving long before we were finished the salad. The swordfish with linguine entrée was outstanding. The rock shrimp with habanero sauce was fairly bland. We had baklava and the tapioca pudding for dessert. We can't rave enough about the baklava.

A nice experience. A little pricy for lunch but still good. Service was excellent. They were very accomodating evan though they were quite busy. Would go there again

“Very disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

We stopped at this restaurant and considered it from the outside and a woman on her way in told us it was the best restaurant in town. So we went inside to give a try. I wish we had kept walking!

While the appetizers were good (I had scallops with a balsamic drizzle over sweet potato and leek puree, my husband and kids ordered scallops wrapped in thick bacon) the meals themselves were mediocre at best.

My husband was lured in by the rib eye special they had listed outside. My son also ordered it. It was so thin (maybe half an inch, MAYBE) . Maybe that would be good for a sandwich, but not a special served solo on a plate.

The service was average, nothing I can complain about. The waitress was a bit spacey, but that's something I expect in Woodstock.

The atmosphere was lacking also.

The drinks were weak.......a deal killer!

If you are looking for average with maybe a highlight (appetizer), then this is your place.........

“From casual to fancy(-ish)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

Joshua's is casual enough for blue jeans and tee shirts (a must in Woodstock) yet spiffy enough to be a good dinner option on an evening out. Cuisine is an eclectic mix of locally inspired American and Mid-Eastern fare with several good vegan/vegetarian options. The small lounge upstairs, a favorite local haunt, sometime offers live music and is a great spot for a glass of wine and some shared appetizers when out with a few friends.
