This looks like an old coffee shop from the exterior. It is on a triangular plot. Don't miss it. While Queens is famous for Thai food, Chinese food and Indian food, I did not know a humble coffee shop just across one slim street from the entrance/exit to the 7 train (elevated) would be so good. By the way, the address is 60-22 it is near 61st, Roosevelt and Woodside.
Someone in the kitchen cares. I ordered a fruit salad because it looked so good. It is served in a glass dish that, in my youth, held banana splits. Each fruit is individually chilled and ladled out. This is not, mass, bought, half-ripe fruit salad. Impeccable.
I also ordered a green salad with cilantro and grilled chicken. The chicken was thin, like a paillard. It was much more chicken than I could eat. Two people could split this. The vinaigrette on the side was homemade. With tip, $19.50
Note restrooms are down a steep flight of stairs.
