“Top Notch Accomodations with High Quality Hospitality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

No doubt in our minds that Mountain Brook Lodge is THE best place to stay in the Adirondacks! This was our first trip there when we needed reservations for 3-4 rooms with 10 travelers, and Al and Alicia went out of their way to make sure they could accommodate us no matter what. We had 5 year old triplets with us, and our 73 yr old Mom who cannot handle stairs very well anymore and what a pleasant surprise to pull in and see all one level rooms with a beautiful setting all around us! Al greeted us with a hello and smile immediately, and we knew we were in the right place feeling like family. My husband is a Volunteer Fireman in our community and we received a 10% discount for both nights, you cannot beat that! Al and Alicia are the most friendly, congenial and beautiful couple we met in our travels and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. From breakfast included, to dinner suggestions with discount, to a quaint gift shop, a fire pit to stand around on cold evenings and mingle with guests, clean cozy rooms with electric fireplace, popcorn, hot chocolate, a microwave, coffeemaker and fridge! Their friendly bulldogs greet you so lovingly as well. I cannot say enough about this place, we highly recommend it and cannot wait to return. Location, location with a perfect setting. We miss you already Al and Alicia, God Bless!

Room Tip: All rooms on one level make it easy on all ages!

My husband booked with Al & Alicia because of the review we read on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed! You arrive a stranger, you leave as family! The rooms are lovely, but like everything else in life, it's the people that make the difference. The community fire is fantastic! Everyone comes to sit and chat about what they did that day, share stories, etc. You make friends with everyone, including our 4 legged friends (I almost took Bambam home with me). We will absolutely return, with our dog. This was my first hiking experience, and I can say that if/when we return, it will not be because of my newfound love of hiking, but to see my friends Al & Alicia! The price is SO reasonable, and the experience and hospitality is worth SO much more!

The hosts Al and Alicia were very gracious and kind from the moment we walked in. We traveled with a group of us including 3 - 5 year olds, who truly felt " at home " , thanks to the generous host Al! We all loved staying here and will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay. The rooms are comfy cozy with that country feel. Breakfast with a big smile and hug from Al and Alicia. Absolutely the warmest place you'll ever stay. Can't wait to visit again!

If you haven't stayed with Al and Alicia, you're missing the best part of the Adirondack experience! You will be family as soon as you walk in and you'll never want to leave. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we visit the mountains. :-)

A stay at the Mountain Brook Lodge is not your typical hotel experience- thank goodness! After years of staying at hotels where the best one could hope for was to be treated with detached courtesy, it is a breath of fresh air to stay at a place where you are welcomed like one of the family- and for a very reasonable price! Staying with Al and Alicia was like visiting your favorite relatives- they went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Rooms were very comfortable and cozy, loved the fire and the chance to meet and mingle with other guests! The location cannot be beat for all that the region has to offer! If you are tired of the typical "just okay" hotel experience and are longing for something more intimate and interactive, this is the place to stay! We loved it and will be back again!

Al and Alicia and their team cannot do enough for their guests. The rooms are clean, comfortable and you feel like one of the family when you're there. I have never stayed anywhere that I have enjoyed more! Everything is lovely, the pool, breakfast, bonfires and rooms. If Al and Alicia don't have it, they'll get it. I count Al and Alicia among my friends, not just hotel owners.
