“Beautiful in the winter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

This was an enjoyable stop while in the Lake Placid-Wilmington area - right near Whiteface Mt. It's a short and fairly easy half mile of trails through and over the gorge and falls on well maintained, sturdy and safe walkways and stairs hanging from the gorge walls. We were there while it was snowing - truly beautiful. They provide Yak Traks for the bottom of your boots for secure footing on the snow covered walkways and stairs. Frozen waterfalls are uniquely different than the summer experience. Open fire to roast marshmallows and plenty of hot chocolate were included in the price. Reminded us of a miniature and not quite as spectacular version of the Flume Gorge in Lincoln, NH, but fun nevertheless.

“Awesome Gorge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

This attraction offers an impressive experience of walking along this beautiful gorge, partially on hanging trails. Watch the power of water and enjoy the waterfalls, pools and passages that it creates between the rocks. Great place to visit on the way from Lake Placid to Whiteface mountain.

“High Falls on a cool and overcast day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We went to visit this attraction because we were in the neighborhood, Lake Placid.
It was cool, overcast, foggy but it was still impressive. They built an awesome walkway right over a portion of the falls, breathtaking. It must be even more awesome on a sunny day. I want to go back and check it out again.
