We did a park-sleep-fly package. We left the car for about 9 days in their main parking lot at the back of the motel. It looks like space could fill up pretty quickly and I noticed what looked like a paved auxiliary area adjoined to it just behind the building that didn't have any cars in it yet. The car was tagged, license recorded, and we left the keys at the concierge desk. Shuttle pick up time was arranged with the concierge. It's less than a 10 minute drive with morning traffic from the front door of the motel to Buffalo-Niagara International. Upon return, we used a provided direct phone line in baggage pick up area to call Clarion. The shuttle came within 15 minutes and drove us directly to our car.
Very good: SERVICE - check in was very easy and arrangements for parking and shuttles were done clearly and efficiently. The young woman at the desk seemed to be old hat at this (all these Ontario vacationers!) and recommended a time for us to be picked up by the shuttle up the next morning. They provide a business area with internet and free printing which we used to print up our boarding passes and check-in for our flight.
LOBBY - I don't often note the lobby of motels much, but Clarion had quite a nice one. High ceilings, lots of comfortable seating and reading/waiting areas, and they provided newspapers and a fully stocked hot beverage area with a selection of non-packaged type cookies. Taking a few white macadamia nut cookies and brewed coffee to our room was a nice treat that evening!
BREAKFAST - all the typical hot/cold fare of a roadside inn continental breakfast but plenty of it and served in a bright, clean space. Fresh fruit, too, which not all places provide. Just one thing: breakfast starts at 7:00 a.m., I think, so if you have a flight that requires you to be at the airport earlier than that, you won't be able to take advantage of that service.
SHUTTLE - worked like a charm. Picked up in the lobby, dropped off at the airport. Picked up in the same spot when we returned...even by the same friendly driver. He handed us the car key, drove us right up to the trunk of the car and wished us a good day. All arrangements were done easily and pick ups were as scheduled.
Good: THE ROOM - it was fine and what you'd expect from any motel. It was bright and the colours were cosy. Might have been updated in the past little while. The beds were comfy. Full size TV, mini fridge, and microwave, easy chair, desk.
PARKING: They have a long lot that extends all the way past the building. It was quite full with Ontario license plates. I wonder how they control the parking if they had a full booking at the motel and also lots of extended vacationers at the same time. It's in an open area. How they secure it seems a bit iffy.
Satisfactory: CLEANLINESS - the hallways smelled of smoke and were a little dark and dated, but it's not like we stayed in the hallways, and the smells didn't make it into the room. There was a bit of grime on the wall tiles of the bathroom. The coffee maker filter still had used coffee grounds in it. We didn't use it because better coffee was provided in the lobby, anyway.
We would look into the availability of Clarion again if we were to fly out of Buffalo. It's only a few dollars more than extended parking near the airport, anyway, and you can avoid the hassle of searching for a spot and waiting for the shuttles.
A few of the rooms on the bottom floors have sliding door windows which walk out to what looks like...

Thank you for the compliment. We are doing renovations to the lobby and bar area in the fall. We have lots of exciting changes coming soon. I am glad you enjoyed you stay.
