This was my first trip to this part of NY and I didn't know what to expect. My colleague and I were on a business trip attending a conference at this hotel. It was a three night stay, but should have been four but they were sold out the last night. The receptionist was very nice when we checked in. The lobby/restaurant area was modern and had a hip vibe. You had to cross an indoor bridge to get to the rooms. The room was comfortable and we had no complaints, although some other conference attendees expressed their displeasure with their rooms, mostly plumbing issues. Because the hotel is in a more secluded woodsy area with only industries nearby, you had to have a car or hire a cab to take you anywhere. Since we didn't have a car, we ate at the hotel two of the three nights and had breakfast each morning. Although pricey, the food was decent. The breakfast buffet was very good with a nice selection of hot and cold food. I might have given this hotel four stars had it not been for the fact that we didn't get the conference rate for the first night of the stay (which we were told we would get by the conference organizer) and we had to switch hotels the last night because they told us they were booked up (another attendee was able to keep her room another night). Overall, it was more like 3 1/2 stars.

This is a small hotel at it's best; great customer service, beautiful surroundings and all the amenities you look for. The room, public areas and dining area were all clean, well decorated and up to date. The pool area was awesome, indoor but glass walls so you could enjoy it at any time. The staff was friendly, smiling and available without being overbearing. The hotel's open area restaurant was extremely comfortable and the food well made with good ingredients. If you go, please make sure you order the homemade potato chips and dip, best EVER.

This hotel is quite beautiful, once you get there. Strangely it is located near the crossroads of a few different highways, and yet is tucked into a wooded forest-like area with hiking and biking trails. Check-in was simple, but finding the room took a bit more navigation. A big tip would be to ask for a room closer to the main hotel lobby, as my room felt like it was a mile away. It is a weirdly laid out hotel. The banquet rooms were also nice, and overall the hotel had a very "trendy" feel to it.

I also ordered room service and was quite impressed with the quality of the food, I recommend the Mac and Cheese.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the main hotel lobby, especially if you have any mobility issues. Another o...

Great staff, friendly and welcoming. Tucked away off the beaten path, beautiful wooded surroundings. Nice amenities and well appointed rooms. If you like to use the Concierge lounge, this hotel has a very good one with quality offerings and top notch service to 10 PM. Fitness room and indoor pool as nice as well. If you a runner, you will love the area and serenity.
I always enjoy the stay at this property. Very good access to White Plains airport.

With family in the area, I am always looking for great hotel options in the Westchester area. I first stayed at the property a number of years ago for a family event which was very well done, but felt that the rooms and property was a bit tired at the time and needing some facelifts. I was very pleasantly surprised to see a hip, modern feel and look throughout the hotel including the refurbished guestrooms which also included new beds and soft goods. While there were still some renovations going on with the back entry, it did not effect the stay. Their lobby business center made it perfect and easy access for printing boarding passes and checking mail. The pool area and the beautiful grounds of this historical hybrid made me wish I had an extra day to indulge. It is very close too the upscale White Plains shopping scene, but a car is definitely an asset to get around.

The hotel is perfect for any kind of family or corporate event, and while I did not attend one this time, the hotel was hopping with guests for weddings and other events. The bride and groom looked very happy as they left for their honeymoon.

The rooms are a good size and we had a room facing the back with the trees.. all the standard amenities were in room but no bathrobe or extra amenities.

We did not eat in the hotel...

Our only issue was checking in after standard time, our room (feather free) was not ready.. and after half an hour, we left asking to be called when it was ready. We were never called. The staff were very helpful and understanding in general.

We were extended late checkout without issues and were extended wifi which was after a call and request.

I have stayed at about 10 properties in this area and unless you want to be right in White Plains for shopping or do not have a car this is a great blend of heritage and updated, close but not too close to make this a restful and enjoyable stay regardless of business, pleasure or celebration.

Room Tip: We had a feather free room, facing the forest in the back.

Location: This hotel is a little difficult to find but it is worth the search. It is right outside of White Plains in W Harrison. When you use navigation make sure you put in 80 W Red Oak Ln, West Harrison, NY.

Atmosphere: You are greeted by the lobby and restaurant which are absolutely beautiful. Super clean and lots of beautiful details.

Service: Everyone (from the waitstaff, concierge, house keeping) was very friendly and pleasant.

Amenities: Gym was good size and had more than enough to get a good workout. Equipment was state of the art. Pool was large and well heated. The grounds included tennis courts, basketball courts (needs updating) and beautiful courtyards with firepits.

Rooms: The rooms were all updated with beautiful bathrooms and living spaces. Great linens and comfortable beds. Really well decorated and clean.

Hotel price: Very reasonable ~ I think it was around $220.

Food: They have a restaurant in the hotel that is very good. I had the following meals ~ filet mignon, french toast, sirloin burger. All were very fresh and well prepared. The desserts were about the only thing that were disappointing. They outsource the desserts so none are made fresh in house (not uncommon for a hotel restaurant). All items were reasonably priced.

To note: Get a room on in the main area by the restaurant. If you have to go over "the bridge" it could be quite a walk.

Overall: We definitely return the next time I am in the area. It will be on as one of my favorites.

Room Tip: Get a room near the restaurant area. Not over the "bridge" - could be a far walk.

Stayed here as part of a conference and then stayed a few days beyond. My room was great. The food in the restaurant was excellent as well and the staff was just fantastic. Smiles and very helpful. Only reason I did not give an excellent rating was it is a long walk from the main part of the hotel to the rooms and also tough to get to the hotel from the highway, but sure that you have it well mapped out. It is easy to miss since the trees are almost overgrowing the exit sign. I would definitely go back again though.
