well, i am thinking that the above 2 reviewers were either expecting a 5 star hotel or have written a bad review to keep everyone else from enjoying this terrific place. spent a couple of nights there recently and will forever be in debt to the person who told me about this place. no, it is not even a 4 star but you will experience one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast, a fantastic restaurant right on site and very helpful and friendly staff. room was decent enough, and who was in the room anyway, excpet to sleep. just wanted to get an appropriate review on the record for the dune deck. we plan on going back there next year and spend a longer time since a couple of days was not enough. Thank you dune deck for this jewel of a place.

Wow. Let me see how I can put this. We payed more than $400/night (with taxes) and this is what we got for our money: Horrendously old (and not the good kind of old) office furniture. A moist, damp, carpeted room. A bed that looked like a soft bowl. A bathroom that had no complimentary toiletries, peeling contact paper on the door, and cheap, thin towels - I'm not even sure what the walls were made out of. We called to see if the front desk had a hair dryer and they sent one over only to call 20 minutes later and ask if we were finished because other guests were also requesting it. Was this the first time they hosted a wedding party? While it sits directly on Westhampton Beach, it is by far the worst use of space, and least effort I have ever seen put into a hotel. To pay that much for so little made me sick to my stomach and they should be embarassed by their complete apathy. The attitude is claerly one of "no matter what we do, we'll fill our rooms on the weekend." Not for long.

Beautiful beach and pool, but many of the rooms are very run down and uncomfortabe. Our room was worse than anything I've ever stayed in, including the college days.
