Although I had been to West Point many years ago during a summer trip, this time I returned during the winter taking with me a visitor from Ireland. We almost didn't go as it had snowed in New York City a few days prior to our visit. But we did. And loved it! Yes, there was plenty of snow on the ground, which only added to the beautiful setting which is West Point. The staff at the Arrival Building was most gracious and the tour director was excellent. Since there were only eight people on the tour, there was plently of time to ask questions and see the sights leisurely.
My guest had heard so much about West Point and was very much impressed with the history of the Academy, which we learned about both during our visit to the Museum and from the tour director.
Having seen West Point in summer and winter , I look forward to seeing it again at future dates in spring and fall.
