It has been nearly ten years since we last visited the West Point Museum so curiosity got the best of us and with two friends, visited yesterday. Thankfully the museum is just as interesting and engaging as it was then.
On three + floors, the exhibits range from large weapons like a WW I Renault tank, an original Gatling gun, and the field artillery piece that fired the first US shot in WW I to amazing dioramas of battles dating back to the Roman Empire. We are still spellbound by the Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington, Goering's diamond encrusted baton, and the weapons ranging across hundreds of years of history.
We spend but two hours there and could return next week and spend another two hours or more. Well work a visit!
