“Authentic India food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

After a long time I enjoyed authentic north Indian food . There was no use of food colour in Tandoori chicken and deserve 10 out of 10 . We had other dish and was all well prepared. If you like true indian falvour then must try.

“Wow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

My partner is Sri Lankan and has Hugh expectations when it comes to curry, and neither of us were disappointed. When ordering a meal 'hot', my partner was asked if he wanted 'kiwi hot' or 'Indian hot', and the 'Indian hot' was the best curry he had eaten (apart from his mother's!). My mango chicken was delicious. We left feeling full and satisfied. The service could perhaps be improved but it didn't ruin our experience.

“Terribly oily and over priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We tried take away one night; spent $60 on it and ended up throwing most of the food out. Isn't worth trying

“Very good, fresh Indian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

A pleasant, quiet, and welcoming dinner for our family in Whitianga. The hosts were sensitive to our tastes, and respected requests for spicy and NOT spicy. Service was prompt, courteous. A very nice place to take your family. Reasonably priced also.

“Best Indian food I have ever eaten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

My husband and I are both of Indian descent so we definitely know our Indian food! The food here is pure heaven. Very, very, very delicious. So delicious, we ate here two days in a row.

We ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and Mango Chicken Curry. The waiter asked us if we wanted our dish to be mild, Kiwi-hot or Indian-hot. We went for Indian-hot and he warned us twice that it would be very very spicy. Haha. He was not kidding! It was very spicy but ultra delicious. It wasn't even Indian-hot! It was so much more spicy than what we're used to. But so good! We also ordered the aloo ghobi.

The dishes came with rice but I had the dishes with garlic naan. The servers were really nice and friendly. When we asked them to pack our leftovers, they even packed a serving of rice (free of charge) with it. Just lovely.

Highly recommended. You don't have to go for the Indian-hot but I'm sure the dishes will be just as delicious.
