“Perfectly location as a base for exploring wineries and Yallingup beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

Stayed in a 1-br apartment which was well appointed and very spacious. Has a well equipped kitchen. All apartments have a balcony overlooking the Caves House gardens. The studio rooms are a bit small. The deluxe 1-bf apartments are larger than the standard ones.
Location is perfect with Caves House, a historic pub and hotel, at your doorstep. It offers lots of food, drinks and entertainment options. During the summer months they have an outdoor cinema and lots of live acts on the outdoor stage. The Caves House gardens are fantastic.
Yallingup beach is only a 10-15 minute comfortable walk away via the "ghost trail". The beach is fantastic.
Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it for those who enjoy the best of what Margaret River has to offer. Caves road and all the famous wineries is very close.

Room Tip: Rooms further from Caves House are quieter

Dear Sway_and_Rhi,

Thank you for writing this review and your recommendation. The location of the property is certainly a feature of the property, so close to all the wineries and attraction on Caves road but still just a short walk from the beach & next to the historic Caves House. I am looking forward to welcoming you back to the hotel again soon.

Best Regards,

The one bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. It came with all kitchen and laundry facilities. It was a very good stay better than in a 5 star hotel. It was close to yallingup beach and canal rocks.

The Seashells Yallingup is a nice hotel made with either normal rooms or real 1 bedroom apartments, and is 10 minute walk from the beach. You will find all what you need; there is a small kitchen, a very comfortable bed and a small terrace. Wifi and aircon are standard. It is surrounded by a nice garden/park; the beach and the Ngilgi cave are walking distance. This might sound dull at the end; it may because although there is nothing to say on the accommodation and the service, I found that the place was lacking a bit of atmosphere compared to other that I have visited. Yet there are some undeniable advantages: the service is very professional, something a bit lacking in the region sometimes. You are sure about what you will find; no surprise, the brand brings you comfort. And they are flexible on the dates, which means you can book 1 night on a weekend whereas, for most accommodations, you have to spend 2 minimum. There is an outdoor cinema during summer and the small Yallingup shop is right at the hotel’s door. As I have not got a high floor room, I cannot say if you see the sea from there; I just hope !

Room Tip: All the room face the "sea side" but you will definitively not see it from the lower floor...

Seashells Yallingup is the perfect place to stay down south in Western Australia.

We booked a double room ‘apartment’, which consisted of two adjoining rooms. The apartment was large, with lovely bedrooms and great balconies - perfect for entertaining and taking in the sunset. The rooms were clean, plenty of living space and everything you need for a relaxing break.

Yallingup also has one of the best beaches in the south west, although Meelup isn’t too shabby either. The food at the pub is not bad, although I recommend the takeaway food at the general store across the car park.

I would come back in a flash, and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed at Seashells for one night, having booked at short notice during a trip in the Margaret River region as part of our recent visit to Australia. The room was clean spacious, and very well equipment. The gardens and surrounding trees of the hotel are stunning the dawn chorus of the birds is something you just have to wake up for. The parrots even land on the balcony! We loved it

We booked a standard room. On arrival we were upgraded to an apartment, such a treat absolutely gorgeous. Views over the gardens were superb and the beach was only a 10 minute walk away and well worth it. Lots of surfers on one part of the beach. Stay around for a wonderful sunset.

Room Tip: I can't add any more to this review everything was excellent.

This resort is something special, not cheap but provide excellent, well equipped, accommodation with one of the nicest apartments we have stayed in. The view across the gardens is stunning with parrots flying around in abundance. There is a beautiful beach within walking distance and you don't fancy walking to it you can go by car, there is ample free car parking adjacent to the beach. Pub food is available close by with a good menu and reasonable prices and Dunsborough has a great supermarket and is a 10 minute drive The local golf course is good and rental clubs are available.
A really nice stay and we have no hesitation in recommending it.
