“Not Bad for the price!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2011

We stayed here for just a couple of nights and while the location was wonderful and peaceful, we really thought that the best word to describe the chalets is "Adequate" The interior furnishings etc are not what you would call top class and the beds are very el-cheapo models. The flat screen TV is more like a computer size monitor than a TV, so a night in, watching a DVD with the log fire going was a bit disappointing. Not a big concern really, but just tied in with the cheapness of the place.

But for the price you pay it is quite cheap and comfortable, and the property itself is very lovely with the Kangaroos wandering about the chalets. We wouldn't stay here again, preferring a little more luxury, but for a late booking it did the job!

This was a fantastic find with no complaints at all. We stayed over Sat, Sun & Mon, the chalet was perfect, spa, fireplace, electric blankets and heaps of privacy. Waking up to Kangaroo's grazing around the chalet was excellent. Everything was clean and cosy and even 3 bedroom to chose from. I highly recommend this place out of all the accommodation available in Walpole. PS. Disabled chalet is perfect :)

We only got to stay here one night but really wish we could have stayed longer. The chalets are very comfortable but a bit rustic and the beds aren't the softest, but what a setting! It was amazing to wake up and find your chalet surrounded by Roos grazing on the grass. The resort was so tranquil and private it makes the perfect place to get away from everything. As the name suggests it is remote and is at least 15 mins to Walpole by car, partially along an unsealed road. My advice is to bring lots of food, wine and a good book and relax in the wilderness! And what fantastic value - this place is so cheap!

If you are in Walpole and looking for comfort in a self contained large chalet, for cost you can't get better than this. We paid $149 per night.

There are several "chalets" on the property, each with it's own privacy. Each is fully equipped with all the home comforts including a 2 person spa, outdoor setting, large gas barbeque. The kitchen provided everything from the basics to serving platters.

Clean, fresh and very comfortable beds. Fluffy white towels and not forgetting two very large walk in showers & fully equipped laundry.

Great safe play areas for the children. The chalet we had had 3 large bedrooms consisting of 1 Queen, 1 King and 2 Twins. A wonderful balcony from which you can watch the Kangaroos, Joeys and Big bucks just going by their business.

We stayed in chalet 2 and would recommend it.

  • Liked — So peaceful and relaxing
  • Disliked — none
  • Tips/Secrets — approx 15 kms from Walpole town and therefore you would have to drive to dine out
