“Nice new cafe on the hill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Lovely little cafe at the cultural centre. Decided to try this new cafe which was a real treat. The man who runs it is very nice and the service was prompt and efficient. We had brunch on a market day ( Saturday first of the month) and it was a welcome respite from the crowds. Because it is located right at the top of Haynes street you may not see it. But take the time to check out the centre then stop for a light meal. I do believe he is opening for dinners soon also,if not already

“Exhibition space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

The Zig Zag Cultural Centre in Kalamunda, 25 km form Perth offers local artist the opportunity to exhibit in a top class gallery space. Because the gallery is situated next to the tourist info it always seems occupied and people go in and out - there is generally no charge. My husband is an artist so we enjoy browsing around and getting ideas for what might look great in our home.

“No to be missed.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The friendliness of the staff. The way it is set out. Taking a step back in history as it was then. I enjoyed the information about the Zig Zag railway, and why it was made etc.

“Coffee and cake”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

a new cafe with out side seating next to the new arts centre. Quite popular as in town. Not too crowded the day I went. Chai latte was good made with powder and the cakes were standard fare.
