“Must Update”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

The TV had the same problem they had when we were there a year ago. Had to get maintenance to change over the TV's so we could watch it. The stove was so old that we could not read what element was what until we noticed that there was a layout above the elements. But how high were the elements or how we could gauge the heat of the elements was very dangerous. This must be looked at and new stoves installed immediately.

The lounge is old and needs replacing as they are very old.

The bed was comfortable but a little hard.

Very noisy when you have people upstairs and beside you.

Still a nice place.

Room Tip: Get an upstairs so you are away from the noise.

We stayed a week in October in a 2 bedroom apartment for a wedding. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The resort grounds were very nice and a great place for a wedding. The resort is in a good location between Busselton and Dunsbrough. The shared facilities however were not great and definietely not 5 star standard. The spa was filthy, full of sand and leaves. The shared bbqs were out of gas the whole time we were there and the pool was freezing cold. Also the restaurant was really expensive and not at all family friendly. I would also recommend packing insect repellant the Mosquitos were really bad.

When we went to check in, we were told our room had been cancelled. I had my confirmation letter there - which I showed her... (they also had my credit card number for confirmation). For some unknown reason our room had been cancelled that day. I said well, I never called up to cancel and explained we were here for the wedding - the lady said well we are fully booked so i'm not sure what we are going to be able to do. I said well I booked in April, (stayed in Oct), so we need a room - we are here for the wedding. Lady was very rude "just give me a minute". It was if our fault that our room had been cancelled ! She finally got us into an "emergency room", but could only guarantee the Friday night, then later was able to confirm the Saturday night as well. Didn't apologize once, very very rude. I myself work in accommodation - and you would NEVER cancel someones booking, without atleast talking to other staff members - or even calling the guest to confirm if you aren't sure.

When getting to the room, all the doors were open, lights were on... bugs everywhere. a cot made up in the main room and 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom - we had specifically asked for 2 king beds as we were 2 couples (which they had said would be fine).. so called back to reception where the lady (who was rude again) sent a very polite, apologetic guy up, who sprayed the room for the bugs, and re made the beds to make it a king and took the high chair and cot away.

Apart from the horrible checking in drama, the apartment was well equipped, some things a little run down. But comfy beds, good sized balcony etc.

We came down for a wedding, which was beautiful. All the staff that served food and drinks were very nice. Food was delicious! (except the lady who checked us in - she was giving out food, didn't smile once, and shoved the food infront of you - one case someone didn't realise that she was there, and they had a drink infront of them, and she just shoved it infront of them, knocking all the glasses. An "excuse me, can you please move your glass" would have been normal !). But the people who organised the event and were cleaning up when it was all over were very nice and polite!

Room Tip: Try to get as far away from the road as possible! (if that is possible)

The room was noisy both from the road and the adjoining rooms. The rooms were locked at 10.00am and we had to go back to reception to get the card re-coded. Breakfast was average, the bircher muesli was fermenting. The girl on the desk at the dinning room was too busy and pre-occupied with her telephone call to deal with us. When we booked we were given one price and when we checked out it had gone up.
The reception staff were very pleasant and friendly, but this is a seriously over-rated place to stay and expensive for what you get.

We are having a weekend getaway and I am quite impressed with the resort. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and facilities and quality fixtures. My only gripe is very poor reception whilst trying to connect to the Telstra Network with my 4G Wireless, also iphone only had minimal strength. Not good when both Dunsborough and Busselton are so close. There is the option of hopping onto the resorts wifi but comes at a rip of price. Other than that nice place.

My fiancé and I stayed for 2 nights in late sep/early oct. When we arrived to check in we were a little early around 1.15pm and were told that we would be called when the room was ready for check in. 4 hours later, still no phone call so we just went back to the resort reception and asked. Then to be told yes it is ready. The room was quite large. We would have loved a self contained unit but due to school holidays these were booked out. We were provided with plates, cups and cutlery for two people, it was just a little awkward washing up in the bathroom sink. The soundings of the resort was lovely and lots for kids to do. The resort was on the main road and very noisy, if you like sleeping in don't stay at this hotel. There was also an abundance of Mosquitos, I would hate to see the place in summer! If you have kids this would be perfect as you would be up early and there are lots of things for kids to do within the resort, for anyone else, don't bother
