“A must-see - views from the top are stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We went after visiting the Ngigli caves as part of the Above and Below package. The views are stunning and the guide was very personable and friendly. During whale watching season the lighthouse offers perfect vantage point for whale spotting.

“Whale lookout is awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

The whale lookout is a long walk though. At least 1.5km, if you choose the correct route. We didn't... and ended up walking 4kms!! it was all worth it, though. The sea is just so beautiful!

“Too expensive and especially for the time it took for the tour!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Went with friends from UK and just took the walk to the Look out for the whales which was not very easy walking through very soft black sand for much of the way. We had a cup of tea and a coffee and both only luke warm and the cardboard cups were only half full so yet another rip off. We saw a family set off with the guide for the lighthouse tour and they were back within 20 minutes so obviously charges are just too high as the volume of visitors was quite busy but most went in saw the prices and about turned and back to their vehicles. Wouldn't it be better to reduce the charges and get more people taking the tours than the guide just taking one family!!!!!!

“Expensive for what it is”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

The lighthouse tours are expensive for what it is and the views may be great but our abiding memory of our February visit will be of the hordes of flies. Somehow they forgot to mention these in the promotional literature - take a fly net if you are going!

The views, the weather, bracing (in October), very well organised, lovely cafe, and when I came back to the UK, everyone loved the photos of the 2 oceans meeting better than all my others, they said , oh thats real Australia.
