“Good honest home style Italian cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

So glad we went here for dinner. Was craving fresh home cooked food & vegetables after a week of eating rich food at wineries & the resort we are staying at.

Ordered a vegetarian strudel with a side of steamed vege. Partner ordered Spag Bol. Good honest food.

Cheerful service, meals came out quite quickly considering how full the restaurant was.

“Try the Cone Bay barramundi when you can get it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

If ever you see the name Cone Bay barramundi anywhere, get it while you can - the most superb fish from WA's north.
This was cooked perfectly at Assisi - delicate white flesh cooked with love in a nice restaurant setting.
The price was very good compared with some ordinary restaurants that get ahead of themselves. At $35 for this nice fish, rounded out with other nice meals our friends had, it was a pleasurable dining experience.

“Two visits within three days”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

Lovely restaurant with great staff. Efficient and cheery service both evenings with good food and wine choices on the menu. The pizzas are superb and highly recommended. We also had a side of chips...naughty, I know, but oh my word! Properly cut, decent sized chipped potatoes, soft and fluffy on the inside and beautifully crisp on the outside; they stayed crisp even on cooling. I can honestly say they were the best chips I've eaten for years.

I had the veggie tortellini on our first visit. I felt they could do with a little more filling, but they were well cooked and the sauce was plentiful and very tasty. My husband had a chicken and pasta dish and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks, too, to the little Welsh waitress for making both visits memorable.

“Food was really awful.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

Food was really awful. It felt like everything had been defrosted in water, then served. Even the salad looked second hand.
