“Still love the chicken and leek pie”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

We have eaten at the original Whitfield's location and at their new location at Rockcliffe Winery. The new venue is more picturesque and Kellie's chicken and leek pie is just as good (not sure about the calorific value of the meal but very easy to consume!). A nice touch is that they allow you to taste the chocolate buds that they use in their chocolate products, much like Margaret river chocolate company. Unfortunately their chocolate is not quite as lovely as their pie. When they get their liquor license it will be great to order a glass of wine following the sampling opportunity at the cellar door. At the moment you can only purchase a whole bottle, but there is no corkage and you can take the rest of the bottle home. Very courteous wait staff in attendance during our visit.

“Great Lunch with a nice wine and pleasant staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant named Whitfields Cafe has recently relocated to the Rockcliffe Estate winery and I must say the the Dinner plate for 2 was an ideally sized lunch. We purchased a pleasant wine from the winery to have with lunch and this really set the meal off.
No problem recommending this in the future. The staffer were courteous and helpful and could not be faulted.

“Maybe on a fine day”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I'm not sure where the gushing five star reviews come from. This is an open sided shed on a farm facing a fenced grassed area. On a dodgy Denmark "spring" day the wind blew some misty rain across our table at times and there are no café blinds to drop down. Service was friendly and efficient but the food a bit mixed. I enjoyed the chicken and leek pie but my partner thought the home made sausage rolls a bit tasteless. No dressing on the salad at all left it fairly uninspiring. Wine by the glass is well priced and we took home some chocolate which was lovely. I think the owners should go and have lunch at the Lakehouse a couple of times, a venue we would go back to every visit. I can't really find a compelling reason to go back to Whitfield.

“Must visit while in Denmark”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

This is a beautiful winery in Denmark, which has a fantastic restaurant. The food is amazing and the owners are very down to earth and friendly. They also make their own chocolate, which is hard to leave without. For the dog lovers, they have a family of Bernese Mountain dogs which are very friendly and love some attention. If you have well behaved dogs you are also allowed to take them along for the experience.

“Excellent something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

A great, relaxed place for lunch. Good selection of wholesome food and lovely drinking wines. The deserts and chocolate were beautiful. This little place has something for everyone and has got lots on offer-definitely recommend it :)
