I loved this place. It took me some effort to get to Tresco, and to the gate to the Gardens as my mobility was not good in June when I went. Once there I didn't think I would have the energy to walk around, then walk on to the southern tip to pick up the ferry back to St Mary's. I didn't want to leave without seeing the gardens but didn't fancy paying £12, just to go in and sit on the bench nearest the gate. I noticed they had 2 mobility scooters to use free, but you were advised to book ahead. I asked if there was one available, not expecting there to be, but I was in luck. A pleasant lady on the ticket desk brought it around for me to use and showed me the controls. I'd never used one before, but what a blessing that was. Without it I would have missed the lovely garden, with its tropical plants, pretty layout, lovely follys. Thank you for providing the means for those with less mobility to visit the gardens.
The cafe, with plenty indoor and outdoor seating was very nice, and quite reasonably priced.
