“NOT SO MUCH OF A RUIN!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

After a reasonably exerting walk to Cromwell's Castle, followed by the hike up to King Charles's castle you need some sustenance, and where better than The Ruin Beach Cafe?

A very pleasant restaurant to rest weary legs, and top up on the energy levels by indulging in some of the tasty offerings to be found on the menu.

“Lovely lunch on day out to Tresco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013 via mobile

We had a day trip to Tresco from St. Mary's.
After a two hour morning walk around the north of the island we stopped at New Grimbsy for lunch at the Ruin Beach Cafe. An excellent choice.
To drink, my wife had elderflower and I chose pink ginger. To eat, my wife had a delicious bowl of pumpkin soup and a chunk of bread, whilst I went for the smoked beef and peppercorn mayonnaise sandwich (ciabatta) - very tasty. We ended with some great cups of coffee.
I'd recommend this cafe for anyone walking round Tresco.

“Latest Addition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

In it's second year this has to be a wonderful addition for the many visitors to Tresco. The views from sitting inside and even better on the patio must be among the best in the world. Ate here twice during our two weeks stay on the island and thoroughly enjoyed the food, views and surroundings. The place to sit back with a nice glass of red wine and just soak it all in - complete heaven.

“a quick beer at the bar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

a 20 minute walk from the New Inn and you are at the other side of the island. I should imagine a great spot in the Summer. Friendly staff,,but choice of the beers could be better.
