“A tasty welcome to the Scillies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Really nice staff and a lovely view over Porthcressa Beach coupled with a varied and healthy menu. The coffee was excellent, we really enjoyed our lunch here and wished we could have gone back for dinner. Charming experience.

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

You would hardly know this place was there when looking from the other end of the beach but a short walk to the end of the sea front and you will find it. A pleasant surprise. We went on a sunny day in May. Sitting outside overlooking a stunning sparkly sea. We had cold meat antipasti which was delicious. A jug of Pimms to go with it, sunglasses on, sit back and relax. What is there not to enjoy? Very good service too. A varied menu with something for everyones taste hot or cold, spicey or not. Child friendly also. Would definitely go there again.

“"A touch of the Medi on the Atlantic!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

On a fine day in particular this is a lovely location overlooking Portcressa Beach. They do brunches, lunches, teas and evening meals, mostly with a Mediterranean flavour including Tapas, Mezes and other tasty delights. For something a bit different with a splendid vista this is an ideal spot for a leasurely lunch, coffees and ice creams during the day. The evening menu also looks interesting, hopefully we will try it on our next visit to these wonderful islands. It is not cheap, but well worth it.

“A good first stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

After landing from the Scillonian you may feel peckish! D & G is about 5 minutes walk from the harbour (North side of St Mary's) to the sunny beach on the South side. A decent choice of sandwiches etc, but not cheap.

“Excellent evening meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Overlooking the bay, this restaurant is well hidden but worth seeking out. The menu was varied and we had a selection of tapas as starters, followed by the fish (not surprisingly!) as the main course. Desserts were just as acceptable and it was a very pleasant meal.
