This B&B has only 3 rooms, all of which are beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful and romantic details. When we arrived having booked the cheapest Green room, the landlady offered us the more expensive Blue Room for the same price; obviously we accepted and were delighted. The four poster and the views over the town were exquisite, the en-suite was lovely and new and clean. There was a fridge and tea and coffee facilities, as well as a complimentary bottle of water, and every romantic touch. The room was in the roof with a low sloping ceiling, it was quite warm, but there was a fan and the windows opened wide. The rooms only locked with a hook, but security really didn't seem like an issue. The landlady was friendly and very glad to meet the interesting guests she has. Breakfast was simple but thoughtfully prepared with a little fresh melon, fresh bakery goods, juice, boiled eggs and coffee.
The B&B is right in the centre of town, opposite a lovely brasserie and a 2 min walk from the central place. There is free parking at Porte Brunet which is a 2 min walk away. It is quiet and steeped in history dating back to the 12th century.
Worth every penny, and definitely recommend the Blue Room if you're looking for something romantic. The landlady also speaks perfect english. St Emilion is a very special town and this B&B is exactly what is required to make a very special stay.
