“HOTEL'S QUALITY DEGRADING”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Sad but this is true in my recent visit to this hotel the quality of everything has gone very bad.. in their premium categories they do not give basic aminities like dental kit /shaving kit or slippers.worse if u have booked room without seeing u could end up getting a low category room at premium category rate......hotel has gone in hands of new guy Mr Thakur who is a disaster and care nothing about customers, now the quality of breakfast is a disaster so in case they are offerring it for even free safer to avoid.......Mr Thakur u are a shame to this hotel.

Room Tip: First See Room before u check in...the management is cheat

Staying here for 6 nights as part of a charity trip so we had to budget. The facia of the hotel & reception certainly makes it look like a very good quality hotel. The rooms though from 2nd floor up are in dire need of modernisation (currently this is happening on 1st floor). Despite showing there age they are very clean which is a vital fact in India. The restaurant / bar area is very nice with an excellent range of quality dishes served at a reasonable price. We managed to negotiate the price per room to almost a 40% discount which made this hotel absolute value for money. Definetly recommend to any one who can live with outdated decor.

We have stayed at this hotel three times over the last five years. This time, we did note a big increase in the food and drink prices, a typical lunch for two costing over a thousand rupees. We were given a room on the 3rd floor initially, but this floor looks like it does not get used much and the room was shabby. Other hotels have opened up recently in the area and offer good deals. Kamal Palace needs to watch it's prices and standards, or it will suffer a drop in business.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are better.

I have stayed many times the staff are excellent the below report of a theft is most unlikely as the hotel offers safe facilities, and staff at this hotel are well looked after by the management and all stay long term. Reception is hepful rooms comfortable and clean and generally maintained to high standard, Bar is great service high class with free snacks offerred at all times, The restaurant serves excellent food both indian and european and their murgh malai is quite heavenly. Customers delight in the staff remembering them by name from one year to the next and I have had many happy stays in the hotel it is a delightful balance between formal respect and and comfortabe frienliness

Hotel Kamal Palace is a great place to be in Jalandhar. The food is good. Traditional Punjabi food to western delicacies. The hotel has been able to maintain and improve upon its standards for several years. The exteriors, interiors are good. Professional service. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Certainly a place to be in while in Jalandhar- the sports goods hub of India.

Just stayed at Kamal's Palace and realized that they the staff, including the manager on duty are theives. By mistake I left my Gold/ Diamond ring in the room and by evening it was gone.
On requesting the manager , he behaved rudely and did not help us in any way. Hotel Kamal palace seems to be a 3rd grade hotel in Jalandhar with the staff having no Character.
