“The view of the water, boats, and islands makes the food taste better.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2012 via mobile

The service was very good. The lobster Mac and Cheese was dismal elbow macaroni with non existent lobster or taste. Seafood in pasta over cooked.
That being said I'd go again because 1) very romantic view from the deck 2) only restraunt within 10 miles.

“TI Club Restaurant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We used to frequent TI Club restaurant quite regularly when it was Joeys. Needless to say, we were anxious to see the improvements when the new owners took over this year.
A group of us decided to check out there well publicized Happy Hour from 4:00 - 6:00 on the Friday after July 4th holiday. The bar area is moved to the front and allows more space, with much more lounge seating available. There were about 5 customers sitting at the bar and we decided to grab a table to accomodate our group. Since there was no cocktail waitress, we went to the bar to order our drinks. You'd think we asked the bartender for a million dollars - no greeting, no smile, just a grumpy bartender that seemed as though we were bothering him.
When we sat at our table with our drinks, we decided to order some appetizers. Upon asking the bartender where we should order, he notifed us the kitchen wasn't open until 5:00. Now call me crazy, but wouldn't it make sense to offer patrons food during Happy Hour (might actually raise the ticket ring). So when we asked for some of the pretzels they had out at the bar - you'd think we asked the bartender for another million dollars. At that point he let us know that we could order dinner at 5:00 from the kitchen.
At 4:55, I went and asked the bartender to put our appetizer order in. Again I was notified that the kitchen din't open until 5:00, so I politely asked him to place the order when the kitchen did open.
Althought the appetizers were good, we had to wait 45 minutes for them. Too long since there were only 4 patrons in the whole establishment.
We didn't feel welcome at all - too bad because it used to be a great place to go!

“Absolutely incredible!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

So incredibly impressed with the changes at the T.I. Club that have been made this season. The new bar area is stunning with delicious specialty drinks. I don't even know where to start with the food. The new Chef is an absolute genius. The entire menu looks amazing and the appetizers and entrees that we finally decided on were cooked to perfection and left nothing to desire to any of the senses from the first look to the last bite. From start to finish exactly what I hope for in a fine dining experience.

“Georgeous setting, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

Do not confuse this restaurant with Hacker's which is near by and not the same thing. This restaurant used to be Joey's but it is under different management now.

My husband and I ate here last night. We sat outside with a view of the St.Lawrence River and the cottages located on the nearby islands. The boats drifted by and the sky was clear. It could not have been prettier or more relaxing. The restaurant has been recently renovated and the bar has been relocatde to a larger and more open space at the center of the building. They have installed new tin ceilings that are not my taste but otherwise we thought it looked nice. It appears that they are planning more outside seating or entertaining as well.

It was a perfect night with a dynamite view. The restaurant was almost full but we were promptly seated and our server came immediately. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She brought herb bread which was good, not wonderful, and took our drink order. The restaurant has a weird tech device one can use to select wine that will pair with the food but we stuck to the printed wine list. The menu is ample and has a good variety of fish, pasta, and meats.

I ordered a salad and the pasta dish "the toast of Utica." Pasta with chicken and a vodka tomato sauce. Both were excellent. The salad could have used a bit more salad dressing but I much prefer less rather than too much. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and two appetizers in lieu of an entree. His salad was also very good. He tasted and then rejected he lobster ravioli as heavy and not good. However, he loved the Marguerita flat bread which was a large portion so was enough for dinner. The restaurant took the ravioli off our bill as we requested with apologies and sent a sous chef to see what was wrong.

A really lovely evening.
