First let me start out by saying "I should have known as soon as I saw no one eating in the dining area but the bar was full" that there was a problem with the food. My wife had ordered a crab dip appetizer, which was outstanding, and she ordered the special for the day, which was a 4oz. crab cake meal. The meal consisted of one 4oz crab cake that was almost all filler and cole slaw that about coffee cup size and lots of French fries all for $12.00, which is the "special". Now in al fairness I assumed 4 oz was a lot bigger but for a crab cake of such low quality $12.00 is kind of steep. I also received mine right along with hers which was the "fish and chips entree" for $14.00. When both meals came we looked at them and laughed at the size of the portions. We should have said something when they first arrived but said to ourselves "maybe they will taste outstanding?" and left it alone. So my wife would not go hungry with the size of her meal I decided to give her one of my pieces of fish which I only received three small pieces that where tough and chewy. You may be asking why we did not say anything at first? The waitress never came back to our table until the end of the meal to ask us if we needed anything else but she did ask us how are meal was? I did reply back "small" and how could they charge so much for such small portions. The waitress got defensive saying that I was blaming it on her when I was not. I know she just takes the order and delivers the food so she is not to blame. I have been the comparable places and have gotten much better value for the dollar. If they keep this up they will not be in business too much longer.
