I must say Maureen serves the best breakfast on the island. My boyfriend and I had an amazing, romantic time. The place was immaculate and tasteful. Tamas even drove us to the bike rental place and helped us return them as well. The beach is a few minutes away by bike. We will definitely stay here when we return.

Wonderful, serene and beautiful place to stay. We are repeat clients at this bed and breakfast and highly recommend it for someone looking for a wonderful place to unwind. Our ensuite room was spacious, with beautiful french doors opening onto a glorious pool which we had to ourselves for most of our stay. Maureen and Tamas are gracious hosts, helpful and considerate without being intrusive. Tropical Breeze Hideaway offers the kind of getaway that most people dream of.

If you are looking for a great place to stay and are fans of B & B's, then Tropical Breeze is the place for you. We stayed there for a week and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Tropical Breeze is located away from the hustle and bustle of big hotels in a quiet, local neighborhood, but only minutes from the beaches. The owners, Maureen and Tamas, are very special and will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. They arranged restaurant reservations for us, they gave us maps to use, and they helped direct us to shopping, beaches and restaurants.
Our day began with an awesome breakfast (and we were served something different everyday) and very pleasant conversations with the owners. Then we would go to one of the nearby beaches in the morning, come back to the B & B for our own lunch/happy hour and sit by the pool (great pool) and sun. Later in the day we would drive to one of the Happy Hour bars and/or sit on the beach and watch the sun go down. We would return to the B & B, freshen up and go to one of the several nearby restaurants. Does this sound wonderful, decadent, utopian? It was!
The apartment was large and had a kitchen, a very nice bath, air conditioning, huge glass doors overlooking the pool area and above all, was very clean. We never needed to ask for clean towels or maid service. Everything was taken care of for us.
We had absolutely no complaints; we loved it all. But the highlight of our B & B stay was Maureen and Tamas. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. We told them as we left, "We came as guests, but we're leaving as friends."

Just returned from a week-long stay at Tropical Breeze in Aruba. Two of us (a couple) visited Aruba for the first time and stayed in the larger apartment at this vacation rental. Our hosts, Maureen and Tamas, were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay including providing directions anywhere on the island (necessary because there are NO street signs available) and recommending the best snorkeling on the island.

The apartment was very large, extremely clean, and very well stocked with kitchen utensils. Maureen offered us two coolers, beach chairs, and allowed us to take a raft for the week to the beach. We had unlimited towels as well as access to high-end snorkeling gear for rent at a very reasonable price.

The grounds were impeccable and the pool was really beautiful. We basically had undisturbed access to it throughout our stay. They keep everything very clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is safe and quiet with the exception of a local bar that played loud music on Friday and Saturday night until 12:30 AM. We think this was related to all of the Carnival festivities the week we were visiting, but we're not sure.

The caveats to know before you stay at Tropical Breeze is that while we stayed there, we did not have hot running water. It wasn't entirely clear why not, but we grit through lukewarm showers daily. Maureen joked that we would get "used to it" but to be honest, the first thing we did when we got home was take long, steaming hot showers.

The other thing is that some of the drains in the apartment drained very, very slowly. As a result, mosquitoes are breeding in the plumbing and they are VICIOUS!

One last note, we read rave reviews on this site of the breakfasts offered each morning, but it was our experience that people who rented the "studio" apartment had breakfast included. Since we had a full kitchen, we did not.

Other than these two issues, we would absolutely return to Tropical Breeze for another stay.
