The atmosphere should have been beautiful. Quaint tables surrounding a serene illuminated pool. However, if the pool is going to be the centerpiece, how about cleaning or vacuuming it? It looked like they may have cleaned it once a week.
The servers were friendly, but not so attentive. It's a good thing they leave a carafe of ice water on the table, as much of the night it was me refilling the water and wine glasses. Usually only when they saw me doing so did they offer to assist. I'm not one to mind doing so, but the servers regularly offering mid-pour became a little irritating.
One thing that really bothered me was that they waited until we ordered to tell us that they were out of something. To me that's a major no-no, as much of the time I try to base my order on some variation between aps and mains. This oversight caused us to unnecessarily revamp our decision process. Disappointing.
The food was pretty average. The tuna tartar ap was quite tasty, and the seafood soup was tasty, but the mains simply didn't have anything special to them. In addition, the menu is pretty overpriced for what they're offering. Several other Aruba restaurants are doing a far better job at that price point (and below). It's as if you're paying for an ambiance that simply doesn't live up to expectations.
