“The Best hotel at the Dead Sea!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel and we were very pleased!
I think it's the best hotel there, the food was excellent and everything we asked from the reception we got it with a smile.
The hotel has two pools and private beach.
The advantage of the hotel is that all rooms face the dead sea and has a privet balcony with stunning view!
We got a room on the sixth floor, Room 639, above the pool and the sea - We could not be more pleased.
The hotel provides a free robes, and all the guests wearing them during the day and walk between the spa, pool and the private beach.. Gives a feeling of a luxurious spa vacation.
For us it was a vacation for body and mind, Pure relaxation!
I highly recommend this hotel, and after two successful vacations , we will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask a room on the 6th floor facing the sea and the pool -The view from the balcony is amazing!

Isrotel claims to be Israel's leading hotel chain and in some ways I can believe it. This one has clearly had a lot of investment and feels very 5* with the marble, the grand interior and international cuisine. I even noticed a 'pledge card' in the bedroom promising the highest standards from the management and a guarantee that everything will be pukka or else!
I think some of this pressure has rubbed off on the staff, who were coolly efficient but somehow lacked the sense that they actually enjoyed their jobs - no-one seemed to be smiling!
However, we only stayed one night to get a taste of the Dead Sea (actually, keep your mouth and eyes well closed when you are in it or you will be in real pain from the saltiness!) One disappointment was unlike on the Jordanian side (we stayed in the Kempinski) there was no free special skin-enhancing 'mud' to spread on yourself before getting into the water - you have to pay extra for that from the spa. Anyway, that is a minor gripe. We liked the choice of pools however and had no problem finding sunloungers together which was a relief. As for the room, we cannot complain but it could have been any 5* hotel. Overall the place lacks soul, but what can you expect from a recent resort development - and once you have sampled the charms of the American Colony hotel in Jerusalem? In summary, new quality like this does not come cheap but frankly I would say that you get what you pay for in Ein Bokek. If you are short of time, spend more time at the Red Sea - so much more to do. Ein Bokek = Dead Sea floating, buying Dead Sea products in the shopping malls and lazing/swimming by the pool and eating in the hotel restaurants.

I was there last week and found it to be a decent modern clean hotel. We had a great view of the dead sea from our balcony. 2 minute walk to the water. I did think I was in Russia though. That wasn't a problem though.....those Russian women are eye candy.

We only spent one night (17 people) and the lunch and breakfast buffet was good. Nice pool area however when I asked for a menu at the pool at about 4 pm the girl looked at me like I was an idiot and said "we are closed". Odd.

There is nothing really wrong with the hotel. Because there are no children (less than 18) it is quiet. However, if you do not speak Hebrew or Russian, it is difficult to get service from the staff (not the management - they all speak English). We stayed for three days.

At Dead Sea, I recommend to take as semi-inclusive (breakfast and dinner). In this hotel, the food is reasonable - it is buffet style but there are no lineups. Wine and beer are extra - if you order white wine, it may come warm and take a while.

The Isrotel was lovely: the rooms, the lobby, the immense Dining Room and the pool. . The rooms were quiet and the bed was comfy. After soaking in the Dead Sea, thanks to the hotel's private beach, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and slept soundly. Only disappointment: our itinerary didn't allow us to stay longer!

This hotel is mainly for psoriasus and other medical reasons , the breakfast is terrible , however the VIP breakfast in the ranch house is average . you are given a room on the 8th or 9th floor with access to the lounge (free lunch) .

So i suggest asking for the rooms on the 9th or 8th floor it will be about 50 $ more than your existing room (per day) but well worth it.

This is definetily not a 5 star hotel!! Service is awful ! Pools are dirty and only when you complain do they clean it. Rooms are in crap condition , lots of russians in the hotel .

WIFI costs 100$ per week per 1 device that is pathetic for a 5 star hotel!

The only good part is that dinner was good with lots of food and variety.

Prepare for the worse , expect the best.

Room Tip: Ask for the 8th and 9th floors with access to breakfast at the ranchhouse and to the lounge.
