A mid. day robbery. At the Dead Sea. Where was I asked to pay 20 US dollars for a single day of internet access? Well, it was not in a 4 star London center hotel, where I paid it for the entire week. But here, at the Leonardo Plaza. And if you wish making a bargain, and go for the whole week package, you would pay "only" 100 US dollars! I have no other name to call it than a Rip-off.
With the recent hotel ownership change, and emphasize on efficiency and guests feedbacks, I have a feel of participating in a Modern Times film (Charlie Chaplin).
So why do I come to this old hotel again and again for the last 15 years? Dead Sea view is magnificent, the hotel specific location is great-peacefull and isolated at the South part, with a private beach and (still) a few veterans, loyal dedicated employees that survived the too many hotel ownership changes and that give you a friendly feel.

Room Tip: Upper floors would enable you the wonderful Dead Sea veiw

We spent the Israeli Independence weekend in the Leonardo hotel at the dead sea. We came a big family and had a great experience.
Most of our vacations in the past years we spent in the dead sea and we are always coming to this hotel.
Even though the hotel is not new , It’s location in front of the sea and the great food menu which includes a great variety of choices to every person, made our vacation amazing.
I would like to mention all the great staff of the hotel starting with the hotel Manager Mr. Avraham, who always cruising around the hotel making sure that all the visitors are pleased, and all the rest of the workers especially Hofit the Groups Manager and Adva the Desk Manager.

We spent a family weekend at the hotel. The building is old but the rooms are fine (apart from the rooms on the spa-level that don't have a balcony). The food was wonderful and the variety and choice are great. The service is not the best, we had a problem with our rooms checking in that could have been dealt with better (we did get a nice compensation and it was more or less resolved in the end). On the other hand most of the stuff were very accomodating and nice. The Internet connection is not included and expensive. The hotel is located far away from the "center" where the cafe ans shops are but there is a shuttle.

Room Tip: Make sure that the room is not next to the spa. The higher the floor, the better. If you book more...

Dear Guest,
At the Fattal Hotel Chain our goal is to supervise the level of service and maintenance in all hotels within the organization and do everything within our power to improve points needing attention.

We're glad to update you that the facilities in the Dead Sea Leonardo Plaza Hotel have undergone extensive renovation for our guests. Lately we renovated the lobby and the adjacent beach area.
The hotel has a range of room types, most of which include balconies. Hotel staff will make every effort to satisfy guests' requests with regard to room allocation placement but this depends on circumstances and occupancy rates. We are sure that if you advise us of your dissatisfaction with your room, our staff will be glad to give you the best possible service to resolve the issue.

Internet services in the hotel are provided by an outside supplier and therefore chargeable. The hotel also makes Internet stations available to guests.

The hotel provides guests with continuous daily transport services to and from the shopping center between 9:00 and 21:00

Your comments about the reception process have been passed to the Reception Manager and will assist us in our continuous efforts for improvement and efficiency.

We're glad to advise you that hotel team notes your comments with thanks and has sent a token gift to make your stay more enjoyable. It will be our great pleasure to host you again in one of our hotels.

Stayed here overnight and left me with a lasting impression. Rooms were adequate, clean and comfortable. Buffet was wonderful, lots of choices. I particularly liked the dessert area - ice cream, cakes, fruits, you name it! They also have a pool if you don't want to swim in the beach. Staff were gracious. We had a nice view of the Dead Sea from our room, seems surreal. Direct access to the Dead Sea was the icing on the cake.

Highly recommended.
