My husband and I had a great time sailing on the True Love, which was used in the movie "High Society", starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong. The voyage on Seneca Lake was so much fun! We were treated like family by the knowledgeable owner and deck hands. They pointed out places of interest along the way, and we even took part in a friendly squirt gun fight with another schooner. The crew made sure everyone had refreshments and answered any questions, while making sure that we all had a fun and safe trip as well. We highly recommend sailing on The True Love if you are ever in Watkins Glen, but we would suggest making it a special point to go there. It is a great vacation destination with so many things to see and do nearby. We had never been on a schooner before and our experience was immensely enjoyable.

“We had a great time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2011

Josh and Lisa were our hosts and Josh did a magnificent job sailing his boat. We went on the morning sail (9:30 - 11:00 am). We had a good wind coiming out of the north, so didn't have to listen to the engines, except to get out and come back in. My husband and I had a lovely time - it was our first time on a sail boat - and we enjoyed every minute of it. Josh's first mates, Chris and Patrick were very interesting to talk to, very attentive to our needs, very good sailors and all three answered any questions we had pertaining to the lake, the area and the boat it self. It is a beautiful, beautiful boat and the history of it was very interesting. They also served us some delicious breakfast cakes and pastries with as much coffee and juice we could want. We both thought the price for the 1 1/2 hour sail was very reasonable and we would definitely do it again if in the area, probably would go on the sunset sail. Lisa, Josh's wife unfortunately had to stay on shore, but she was delightful, as well. Good luck on your efforts in taking the business to Florida in the winter time, Josh & Lisa!

The highlight of our "girls weekend" in the finger lakes was our sail on True Love. It was
perfect!!!!
We chose the noon, 2 hour sail. The captain and crew were experienced , polite and friendly. Also, we had beautiful weather to top off a great adventure.
The True Love met all the expectations we hoped for......relaxation, beautiful boat,
great scenary, wonderful crew and super sail !

We sailed with on the True Love with my parents, sister and brother-in-law and my adult daughter. The lake was beautiful , the cruise delightful and everyone had a great time. The captain and crew were wonderful to my parents taking extra care to ensure they were comfortable and enjoyed the trip. This trip was the highlight of my weekend.

“We knew vacation had begun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2011

A friend recommended that if we came to the Finger Lakes region of New York, it wouldn't be complete without a sail and recommended the True Love. What a wonderful experience being out on the lake with my good friend, a cool breeze, a glass of wine, and tasty appetizers. Nothing left to do but relax, and that's what we did. The captain and crew were amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
