“Great Mother's Day Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2009

I know it's been awhile since Mother's Day, but haven't had a chance to write until now... but I did need to tell everyone about our amazing stay at the hotel.

The staff was extremely friendly and inviting (from the front desk to the bartender). The front desk staff was able to answer any of the various questions we had, as it was our first time to the area we had many.

The hotel was new, with clean, spacious rooms with great amenities. After driving for 7 hours from Boston we were greeted with various reps from different wineries in the lobby, offering tastings for us to enjoy... this was a great touch.

The next day we started out with breakfast, which was exceptional and the outside patio was great. My mother and I went on a wine tour and this place was a great spot to come back to, as we spent an hour or so unwinding in the hot tub before dinner.

We met some great people and was overall very pleased with the location, room and service. We will definitely be back to Watkins Glen and to the Harbor Hotel.

A must see, which we checked out on our way out of town is the Watkins Glen State Park Waterfalls... there is a trail which you can follow up and see beautiful falls.

The hotel has fabulous rooms, wood and tile floors. . . no carpet! Roomy, well appointed, lovely with great public spaces as well. Restaurant and bar are beautiful and serve good food (except the pancakes!) Early morning coffee set out for guests in the bar area.
Business center well done, lobby well done.

This is small town USA - but a few good restaurants in town and the Corning Museum was a knock out wow. Glass has never looked so interesting and incredible. Do not miss it.
Hike Watkins Glen Park for half of a day to see incredible waterfalls and more.
We were NOT interested in the race aspect of the location, it was worth the visit for the museum, wineries and park!

You think you book a room with a balcony and you show up to find out you don't have a balcony. Balconies are "just preferences" and you may or may not get one!!!! I have never been so disappointed! I talked to my family the whole week about how we were going to have a balcony overlooking the lake and "NOT"!!! Hardly even a lake view!!!!! Staff EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!

This property is relatively new and absolutely beautiful. We had a lake view room reserved and when we checked in we received a complementary upgrade to a one bedroom suite. Sweet indeed - jacuzzi and all. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Perfect stay.

A recent stay at this distinctive boutique hotel was a pleasurable experience. When you enter the smartly decorated rooms you realize right away that this hotel is not your usual cookie-cutter hotel, but reflects a style and attention to detail that is a mark of a real good hotel. Our room had a flatscreen tv, glass enclosed shower, comfortable beds and first class linens. We had a lakeside room with a beautiful view of Seneca Lake. The hotel offers a small but nice fitness center and an indoor pool for exercise. The stylish bar and restaurant rounds out what we consider the best hotel in Upstate New York. We will definitely return.

Great stay! Very nice, new rooms and facilities. Went for a romantic weekend getaway and it served the purpose...we came back engaged!! Comfy beds, flat screen tv, nice batroom with a great, large shower and great lake view! Great dinner and good, but pricey, breakfast. Overall, a great trip and I am recommending it to friends!

This hotel could be amazing, if not for the surly and inexperienced staff and management. The hotel booked a large wedding Saturday night which made it impossible to get a parking space in the hotel lot. Street parking was non-existent or 3- hour only, and our group was driving, for the most park, $100K Porsches and Audis. The front desk staff offered no apology or compensation. The housekeeping staff was also rude and unprofessional.
