We spent two nights at Hiliki House in July 2012. It's a beautiful place located in a quiet area just outside the bustling center of Stone Town (it's an easy walk to the shops and historical sites). We had a large, airy room on the ground floor (right next to the reception). It was everything we wanted - elegantly furnished, cool, quiet, and very clean. Same goes for the bathroom. My only complaint is that there was a problem with the water heater in the bathroom, which wasn't fixed during our 2 day stay. It wasn't a big deal though, since the weather was so hot. Breakfast was plentiful and served upstairs in a bright, breezy room full of books, antique furniture, and lovely carpets. All in all, we were very pleased with our choice!
