Our family of 6 (kids from 13-20) stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our safari. What an incredible experience! Ditch your shoes--you will literally walk barefoot for your entire stay--and enjoy the incredible luxury! Open air rooms, outdoor showers (as well as in room ones), "sundowner" cocktails delivered to your beach, gourmet meals under the stars and incredible snorkeling and/or scuba diving await you. Our hosts, Mike and Ruth, even put together a family treasure hunt one day that gave us an even better appreciation for the uniqueness of this place! And, it really is fit for Royalty---ask Mike which famous newlyweds requested to stay on the Island, but couldn't because it was closed for the rainy season. It was a once in a lifetime experience...that we would love to repeat some day!

What's not to like? Beach is pristine. Rooms are stunning. Pretty much private. Food was excellent if you like fish and pasta. I also had one of my top dives in my life with just the dive master and my wife. We were surrounded by a school of Rays, saw some octopus... all good. Easy flight in from Arusha and simple transport onto the island. Great stop after an exhausting safari. I went over a decade ago but it looks like things have not changed. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. 4 days were enough.

I have completed more than 400 dives in this marine wonderland ,and still,every time ,I see something new.Management and staff are our friends,and the service levels are faultless.Each morning at the 1st ray of light,I spend some 90 minutes practicing my karate...the privacy and silence allows for Zazen wind down...then breakfast..followed by the 1st dive...often on a one to one ,which is unheard of in this over crowded and rushed world.....the afternoon all third part dive boats have left,allowing us the luxury of exploring this marine wonderland on our own....Cocktail hour from 18:00 is an elegant and very relaxed event,which then translates into dinner under the stars on the beach,with a billion sparkling stars,the only unobtrusive entertainment on offer..retiring to our Banda amongst the whispering pines remains an unforgettable ending to a day of wonder
