There is no doubt that this hotel is in a lovely setting and generally for a Hilton scores quite high. The villa rooms are very nice and well appointed and if the room servicing was up to scratch would score highly, but servicing is erratic and has not improved since my last stay here in August 2013.Be careful which villa you book as many involve climbing a lot of steps.
The staff are very friendly and polite but in some cases their training is not up to Hilton standards. I don't want the barman telling me he cant make a rum punch or the waitress telling me at 6pm that I cant have a pizza because the chef has turned the pizza oven off for the day.
The food is OK but is the usual buffet style every night in the main restaurant and some nights are good with others less so. I eat quite often in the bar that has a reasonable bar snacks menu as this was often a better option.
Its true that the hotel does not have much of a beach but has a pool and other spa facilities. It is a bit out of the way so you will need taxis of bus to shop or see anything of the island
All in all its the small details that need attention and stop this hotel getting a five star rating.
