“One of the best hotel stays I've had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

It's just such a beautiful location, the rooms are spectacular, and the service is great. Yes, it's expensive, but there's a multiplier effect - it's just so wonderful, each day feels like two somewhere else.

The villas are huge, with fantastic bathrooms - big shower, huuuge bath, and the infinity pool outside. You also have a stupendous day bed area in a small pavillion outside, perfectly positioned to watch the sun going down as you read a book and relax. The beach itself appears on several lists of the best beaches in the world, and you can wade out with the snorkel and mask they give you and be within colourful coral and fishes in about a minute.

The main thing you should remember to do is stop yourself making a crying scene when then time comes to leave.

An incredible sanctuary in a stunning setting, and the staff goes to all lengths to make it unforgettable from start to finish.
I had a chance to see several suites and the best in my mind, although they aren't right on the ocean, are the hilltop villas, which feel like luxurious little treehouses. The views of the beach are perfect and offer complete privacy to enjoy your deck and personal infinity pool.
From there you can walk to the beach (5-6 minutes) or get a buggy (which can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes).
The beach itself is the most stunning I've seen on all of Mahé island, with the whitest sand and the most turquoise water.
During my visit there was both sun and rain, often in the same day, but each was equally wonderful. When you "burn out" on sun a little the rain is a most welcome change and is divine while sitting inside your villa and hearing it all around you.
Every activity you could want is at hand, and all amenities including gym, surf shop, dive shop and a lovely spa. There are 2-3 locations for dinner every night, mostly buffet style, and the style of cuisine changes nightly so it never gets old. Almost daily yoga classes are also a plus.
Come here and just relax! I'm a very active and adventurous traveler but I wasn't bored for a second being there for 10 days and barely leaving the resort. Heaven!

Dear lilynoelle,

Thank you for your glowing review of your stay. January is the wettest month in Seychelles but, as you described, it is a mix of sun and showers, which doesn't usually mean you miss out on beautiful beach time!

I'm delighted that you enjoyed all the different experiences during your stay, including some of our special events for the holidays. I hope you got to enjoy our pop-up restaurant, "Steak Shack."

The team and I look forward to welcoming you back, if your travels should bring you back to Seychelles in future.

With warm personal regards,

The hotel and property are beautiful. The villas are gorgeous and spacious. There are many activities on site. The staff were all super nice, friendly and very helpful. They really made our holiday trip fabulous. Amazing place to stay.

We stayed for eight days in October / Novermber of 2014. The villas are amazing (great interior and amenities) but the beach was just spectacular (other reviewers have mentioned raw beauty, amazing nature ... in this case it is actually true!). Cannot recommend this hotel more.

Second time in Seychelle . We had some problems with the Vip Welcome and with rooms because we asked to a Russian from desk employee if she could change our room but she just told us that the room was the better one .
After we met a manager from the four season New York our experience change ... He inform the managers about the situation and all management took care about our request . So at the end we had our best experience !!!
The beach and sea was fantastic .
Just I think that the cost of the food is too expensive .

Dear GBER82

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback here on Tripadvisor. I'm glad we were able to understand your needs and anticipate the changes with this assistance of the team at FS New York.

I'm sorry you found the food to be expensive. Due to the nature of our remote island location, we do have to import some items, to ensure the excellent quality and variety of products which we would want to offer our guests, in order to provide the level of luxury you would expect. You will find that Seychelles, as a remote, luxury destination, that even small, locally-run restaurants are more expensive compared to what you might find at home. I sincerely hope that you found that you found that the quality of food and service during your stay here matched the price.

With warm personal regards,
Alex Porteous

We stayed at this resort in October 2013 and very much enjoyed the laid back raw beauty of this location. The ample bungalows are discretely nestled into the lush hillside and equipped with a petite infinity pool. A outdoor shower, multi level decks and covered gazebo make it challenging to venture further then the room. White powdery sand and a helpful staff greet you at the waters edge. Plenty of water sports available, paired with the warm turquoise sea it makes for a wonderful day at the beach.
Restaurants are situated to capture the lush jungle fauna and cater to a variety of tastes.
Spa is worthy of double dipping and an invigorating walk to its perch high on the peak of the property. A multitude of golf carts are readily available and a pleasant way to travel the resorts traversing pathways.
