Had a great trip around the Toubkal national park with MMG = Morocco Mountain Guides. Eventhough the scenery itself is already breathtaking, the stories Abdou can tell and the inside information he has about the region make the trip to Toubkall and the Imlil region more than worth the money and time spend.

When we go back to Morocco we will be sure to drop by MMG team to enjoy our trip!

My girlfriend and I arranged a trip with Hassan to climb Jebel Toubkal, the highest mountain in the Atlas and Morocco.

The agency we booked through wasn't great, but the guys on the ground were excellent!

We hadn't fully thought through booking during Ramadan, but Hassan did the entire two day climb with us and fasted too! We were pretty worn out by the end of day 2 so we were amazed at his endurance.

He looked after our food well, communicated clearly what was going on and made sure we really enjoyed the trip. Things like breaks, and starting times were very sensible and really we couldn't have asked for better support on the ground.

Really honest, genuine, and keen to please.

Bear in mind this is rural Morocco so accomodation, food, living standards are different to a casual trek in the British countryside. A bit of respect, and some clear communication up front goes a long way to set the expectations.

We explicitly said we did not want donkey's or porters carrying our equipment so the two of us and Hassan carried all that we needed on foot.

When we go back to Morocco, Hassan will undoubtably be the first person we go to for advice and support.
