“The best Lodge in Imlil”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

I have stayed at Imlil lodge over half a dozen times, having stayed in a number of places in Imlil, this place has to be the most friendly with really helpful staff, Its the perfect place to start your trekking from or just visit the surrounding area.
The views from the roof top terrace are just stunning and great food.

Our trip started and ended at Imlil Lodge, with a four day trek through the mountains and villages of Mount Atlas. The walk went at a great pace and over some breath taking countryside. Omar looked after us well, telling us about local customs and organizing the trip expertly. We stayed in basic but clean lodges on our way, and ate the best food ever, thanks to Abraham who seems able to conjure up the tastiest and healthiest meals with limited cooking gear. Over the whole trip we saw one other tourist. Although cold at night, we would recommend going in January, because it does not feel touristy at all. Our last night at Imlil was fantastic. The Lodge is in a great position, we did a couple more walks in the area by ourselves which were very beautiful, and the staff were very attentive. Great food here as well. We wish Jomal every success - he deserves it.

We stayed at Imlil Lodge before and after climbing Toubkal. Jamal and his team were so helpful providing information about the trek route, sorting out crampons, calling ahead to the refuge to find out about extra blankets and even lending us one of their maps. The Lodge itself is a lovely building that's been decorated in traditional style. Our room looked out over Imlil and the valley, the river and the terraced fields.

The food was truly excellent. We're both vegetarians, which the cooks coped with with aplomb. The 5 course breakfast the morning after we descended from Toubkal was particularly memorable.

We hope to return soon to try out some of the other treks in the High Atlas. Thanks to Jamal for a great introduction to the area!

The perfect place to recover from summiting Toubkal. Light, airy, spacious room with amazing views and a private balcony. Warm shower, and lovely restaurant area with fireplace. Jamal is a great host.

Great place to stay , Jamil was very welcoming and helped us get the lay of the land. Also organised a great day walk around the area, he was very accommodating and knowledgable. The power went off so Jamil created a romantic candle lit evening for us. We will remember and cherish this... It provoked me to spontaneously propose to my girlfriend. Highly reccomend! . . .

A really cool and comfortable place to stay during you time in the Atlas Mountains. It has an old style feel with modern comfort. Slept like a baby there and had an excellent dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stayed there for 2 nights, before and after my climb up Mount Toubkal.

Arrived late in the evening after a long flight and was greeted with warm hospitality by Jamal and his team. This was followed by a tasty dinner and a nice cosy room.

Great breakfast was served before my climb and it was all I needed. Was so looking forward to the cosy riad after my climb. Jamal and his team seem to know the every needs of their guests.

Imlil lodge is definitely top on my recommendation list!!
