We booked the tropical attitude for our honeymoon, initially based on such good views but following the negative reviews we spilt our stay to one week at tropical and one week at Le Recif attitude. We stayed only for three nights, transferring early to the Le Recif. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives for us. It is in our opinion overall poor, but could be vastly improved if the feedback is acted upon.
We were welcomed and shown to our room. Which was fairly sparse and basic. The bathroom needed over hauling and in desperate need of updating. The bed was very big but rather hard (personal preference). The location of the rooms are fronted onto on the sea, so it is lovely waking up to the sounds of the waves on a morning. But there is NO BEACH
The staff are lovely, and attentive. The staff on reception were very helpful, and chased the management for us to make our transfer speedy.
The pool area is small, but nice and clean.
The food is terrible!!! The breakfast is the best out of a poor selection of lunch/dinner. The food is bland/unappetising, and is very limited. There is hardly no choice and we found it very difficult to choose our meals. It is obviously made on a very small budget and is very bad value for money, when you put it into context how much you pay to stay here. Many other guests had complained about the food, which we also did. Though it proves that no action has been taken to make any improvements to the quality of the food provided. The drinks again are very restricted, okay if all you want to drink is lager! cocktails were in the all inclusive, but again very limited choice.
There was entertainment on one night, and it wasn't the greatest. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to younger couples, it is very quiet- not that we wanted to go raving every night. Many guests find alternative ways of amusing themselves with dominoes/cards.
Free boat trip to il aux cerfs is good, we spent one day here and had a lovely meal/drinks.
My review is honest and also we have stayed at another attitude hotel. The Le Recif worked out an extra 26 pounds per night per couple. I cannot comprehend the difference in the hotels, taking the small additional cost to stay here, regarding the better choice of food, drinks, activities available, immediate beach access and snorkelling.
