“Oasis beach bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

I have been in many hotels in the world, but the service at oasis beach bar is the best, I love the local beer called blue marlin and the drinks is perfect. The best cocktail is at oasis beach bar!

This place is fantastic, relaxed, beautiful, fantastic food, good value as lots of activities are included, perfect holiday for me and my 10 year old son. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room overlooked the sea and had an outside shower and a day bed outside as well as a lovely comfy bed. The sea was warm and clear and the water sports team very helpful. All in all a lovely week!!

We had the most amazing ten days on honeymoon here. We stayed in a honeymoon junior suite which was lovely. THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and it has a walk in wardrobe which is great if you take way too much stuff with you, which I did. The jacuzzi bath is also great. The toiletries are Luxe's own brand and they're great - and they smell delicious.

As honeymooners you get a few special treats, which is great - The free couples massage is amazing. The spa at the hotel is gorgeous so it's worth going just to hang out at the spa pool and see the surroundings. The massage in itself is fantastic and the staff there are very friendly. The romantic dinner is really special. You can choose to have it on the beach or the pool. We chose on the beach and although it actually rained a little bit it was lovely and very romantic. We weren't so keen on the free cooking class, it was a bit boring but my husband is a trained chef so it wasn't really our thing but others seems to really enjoy it. You also get a free t shirt and sarrong.

We were all inclusive which I highly recommend as otherwise it could be very expensive. The buffet restaurant was great for breakfast, everything you would expect really and the fantastic view of the beach makes it a great place for breakfast. For lunch we loved The Beach restaurant - fab pizzas, fresh tuna, delicious pasta. You can have a three course meal every lunchtime as part of the all inclusive (if you can eat that much). For dinner we preffered either The Beach or Nipa, the Thai restaurant. You can go to these as much as you like but you just have to book and they do get fully booked. The food at Nipa is fantastic. Again you get three courses a la carte at dinner all included. We didn't rate the buffet restaurant much for dinner. There was nothing wrong with it really, it's just when you have the choice of two other a la carte options with great food, a buffet wasn't as appealing. Other food options are the delicious ice cream at the pool bar and pancakes every afternoon at the bar.

As part of the all inclusive you can have wine, prosecco, cocktails, spirits etc. whatever you like. There are menus which highlight what's not included (hardly anything, just really high end, premium drinks). You can order at the bars and restaurants or the staff will bring the drinks to you on the beach or at the pool. It's the best all inclusive drinks package we have ever experienced.

The beach is just amazing. Crystal clear water, white sand and the most incredible view with the Morne Brabant mountain in the background. The pools are just beautiful too. Most people go to the beach so the pools are empty most of the time. We found you can get sunbeds easily anywhere. There is a free glass bottom boat ride which was good for a bit of a trip out to sea but the actual glass bottom bit wasn't that impressive.

Sadly we didn't experience any of the special 'surprises' Luxe advertises. The movie on the he beach was cancelled when we were there as it was raining that night and we never saw the bottle with the message. We still had the most incredible time though.

There's live music in the bar pretty much every night. When we were there things were pretty quiet but then that's what most people want as it's more a relaxing, honeymoon type place. We met a few other honeymooners and that made things a bit livelier. Big shout out to Jonathan, the entertainment manager who was great and stayed up late playing live music himself for us one night. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good time.

The staff were very nice. I wouldn't say it was the most amazing service all of the time, but I think they are just quite laid back and relaxed.

All in all we had the most, romantic, relaxing and amazing time and I would highly recommend Luxe Le Morne.

We spent a nice week of vacation in Lux Le Morne last week. We were there on the all-in formula and had a junior honeymoon suite with a great beach view. Only 50 m separated us from the white sand of the beautiful coco palm beaches of this hotel/resort. The pictures we have taken show the typical views of a holiday paradise beach. The sand is soft at places but in general it is coral sand, which at times was a bit of a problem for my sensitive feet... Lux Le Morne does quite a bit to make you feel comfortable at all times. Apart from the incredible beach that runs along the entire hotel plot there are three swimming pools, two of which were actively used by the hotel guests. They all have their own bar. Drinks are served to you while being in the pool. A great feeling. We appreciated the fitness centre that makes part of the amenities offered. There are three restaurants, a big central one, a Thai restaurant (which is "payant" even when you have an all-in !!!) As a guest you get a 30% reduction on the food in that restaurant, but still .. this does not mean 'all inclusive'!
Breakfast is served in the central restaurant and offers a quite extensive buffet. One thing we found really unacceptable was the fact that during breakfast birds were flying through the restaurant hall and were even were picking from the buffet in different places. We would have expected someone to be there to chase them away at all times!

Dinner was on buffet basis again and great to have. A really great variety of food was served again and again. Each evening had another theme (Mauritian, Asian, etc..)

Staff was all over the place and quite friendly. We had the impression that they needed to get to know as a bit better to really open up, but then they became radiant. They all were very helpful and at the end of our stay they knew us well enough to anticipate what we would desire. That gave a great feeling.

Our room was great and quite complete, incl. a mini Ipad. Everything was kept quite clean and housekeeping was perfect.

All in all we spent a wonderful vacation in Lux Le Morne and by the end of our week's stay we felt that we really should have had another week to enjoy everything to the full. Perhaps a reason to go back ??

The system of having to sign for every consumption in an all-inclusive formula appeared a bit strange to us. It seemed to us this must create an awful lot of needless paperwork. We have seen more efficient all-in systems before.

All in all, Lux Le Morne is a wonderful place to stay en enjoy the good things of life. Total relax in paradise, that's what it was.

A fantastic hotel in a great location. We had a standard room which was very spacious and clean, with all the facilities you would expect. The food (and drink) was of a consistently high quality. We went all inclusive which is what we would recommend - there are no local restaurants, and the non inclusive prices in the hotel are expensive. The water sports included in the package included water skiing, wake boarding, windsurfing, pedalo, and sea canoe. There is kite surfing, but not from this beach, and it is an extra charge. The reef a 100m or so off shore breaks the waves so the beach has nothing more than ripples. The sea is incredibly clear - top tip, take your own snorkel - there is a snorkeling trip but in fact you can see coral, and amazing fish right from the beach.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and that made it a really special holiday. The guys on the beach doing the waterports were particularly friendly and patient with beginners.

Enjoy!

This was the perfect holiday and the best all inclusive resort that we have stayed in, excellent service, excellect location, and great food. we chose this resort by reading others reveiws, we had help from our two daughters which got us to finalise to book the holiday. We found all the staff were so pleasent and helpful, we were always greeted with a smile from the Chef, to the kitchen staff and the waiters. I have Gluten intollerance and the chef made sure I was cattered for, we found you only need to ask and it was provided. The location of the resort was amazing with the big mountain just behind made it seem even more special and very memorable experience. like to say a big Thank you to 2 waiters at the beach bar 'Sanju' who just smiled and worked very hard, 'oliver' who was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: we think the whole resort was very peacful, although we stayed in a honeymoon suite on the eastside...

All in all our vacation at Lux Le Morne was very nice. We loved the beach and the garden. We stayed at a standard room and were more than happy with it. Every once in a while a little gecko greeted us at night while sleeping, but other than that the rooms were very clean and very well taken care of. We enjoyed the free use of the iPad in each room. The buffet was excellent as well, both morning and evening (we had halfboard). However, we were astonished about the prices which are even higher than in Switzerland. One night we were offered a drink before dinner and afterwards we had it on our bill. We talked to the chef de service and he took it off again. We strongley advise that the service people do not "offer" the drink or the hotel puts up a price sign.

As we were there on our honeymoon we received 3 "presents":
- cake: which was fantastic
- romantic dinner: very nice food, however the "free romantic dinner" only included the food (which we basically have already paid through halfboard). With no monetary upgrade we would have been set at a table right next to all other guest at the normal restaurant. For an upgrade of about CHF 40 - 70 we could choose between the beach and the gazebo. Having a bonfire did cost extra. It was a nice thought, but having to pay for every extra, didn't give us a good feeling.
- cooking class: we were promised to learn to cook Thai. We were supposed to cook our own 3 course menu and eat it afterwards. Reality was that we only could WATCH the chef cooking the menu and could only TASTE a spoonful of the food. Again, don't call this cooking class when it's more like a demonstration and although do not praise it as being a honeymoon present/package when it does not meet what has been promised.

Room Tip: Very quiet at room 46
