“Really Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2012

When you are stuck at the wrong end of a road to nowhere with a view of nothing much and parking space for one then you have to play to other strengths ...and this place does it.
By a mile, the best cooking we tried on the island, the food and (especially) the front of house were an absolute delight. The other reviews are not wrong if you like your food fresh and imaginatively well cooked, served with passion and knowledge this is the place to go.

“Worthy of it's Number 1 slot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012 via mobile

Imaginative and brilliantly cooked food, lovely friendly staff and chef.

Ambiance a bit bright and white but you soon forget about it.

Buy a dimmer switch guys and you will have a world ranking.

“Worth spending the time to find it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

What a fabulous place this is, the front of house really makes this restaurant, the food is very good and the homemade rum blends are really worth trying. the location would challenge all but the most determined of diners even the local police could not direct us correctly but it's worth hanging on in there, we will be going back and rates as number 2 on our list of 8 we have sampled in Grand Bay so far.

“delicious to smell, to look at and to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

followed the advice of other trippers and found La Toque Blanche after a bit of an anxious walk down a dark alley into the unknown - following vague directions - greeted by Francoise at the door and graciously hosted by her. Fabulous meal at toque blanche. everything was perfect - the choices on the menu, the service and attention to detail and of course the food - an absolute feast and treat - well priced; charming; definitely one to recommend to a foodie!

“So Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

After reading the reviews on Trip advisor we decided to check out this restaurant as we were not familiar with it from previous visits.
Firstly, the food is suberb ! Please, please don't be put off by the dimly lit approach, once inside you will be impressed by the understated design of the restaurant (the ambiance of a fine dining establishment).
The staff are extremely knowledgable and the chef serves up delightful food. On that note, do not go if you like your food quicky and are in a rush. This is not what this restaurant is about. It is an establishment that quite rightly prides itself on good food served in a relaxed manner. My compliments to the Chef and the Staff.
