The staff here are real nice genuine people who cant do enough to ensure your holiday is nothing but enjoyable. The whole all inclusive package, food & drinks, facilities, cleanliness, rooms are excellent value for money and without doubt the best place we've ever stayed and a perfect destination for a special celebration.

Room Tip: Watch out for being offered an upgrade to a classic room as these had not been refurbished.

This hotel is very friendly, relaxed and a very good standard.
It had everything to offer from a full range of international foods including fillet steak which was amazing.
I have been on many all inclusive holidays but none of them compare to the service experienced here, as soon as your drink was finished, a member of staff would be there waiting to take your next order.
Beautiful country, excellent service and all you could wish for from a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: The prestige rooms have been recently upgraded and are excellent.

We spent another two weeks at this fabulous hotel in May.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Antje and Aurelie who checked us in. We arrived before check in time as we were on the Emirates flight from Dubai, but our room was ready for us. We had requested to be in the same prestige room as our last holiday (423) and this was all arranged for us which we were grateful for. As we were returning guests Antje arranged for us to have VIP beach service for our whole stay which we thought was a lovely touch.

Jay and Dave on the VIP beach work hard all day to keep the guests happy. I got used to arriving at the beach to a Kir Royal and it was nice to be able to have lunch on the beach looking out to the sea. Jay especially is a credit to the hotel and a great guy. We were full of cold in our first week and he made sure we were ok and brought us tea with honey and lemon. This for me goes above and beyond.

We actually went to see what the suites were like as the VIP beach service is included with those, they were really spacious and we may well do that next time.

Food was lovely as always and we especially enjoyed our evenings at La Maree and Le Banyon. Kumar at Le Banyon is so attentive and again is a credit to the hotel. The only one bit of feedback I would give it the set meal evenings in the buffet restaurant. We don't eat fish and the starter always seemed to be fish. We avoided the set meal nights because of this and went to other restaurants. They didn't have this the last time we stayed in November and I'm not so sure this works.

I did a horse riding lesson which was really good and also very cheap! There is lots to do for everyone if you don't want to just lay and sunbathe.

Overall another fantastic stay and I can't recommend this hotel enough! Don't think about it just book it! The staff are amazing and grounds are wonderful.

We are already planning on when we can return!!

We upgraded the room and had an All Inclusive package. Best value for money I have experienced with holiday hotels. The hotel facilities are superb but it is the staff that elevate the hotel from simply excellent to truly outstanding. Great selection of activities, places to eat, beach and poolside sunbeds etc. Happy to recommend.

Almost everything about this hotel is brilliant. The rooms are good, the staff without exception excellent and the facilities second to none. My girlfriend and I were all inclusive and found that that the food in the main dining area 'Belle Vue' was always good and varied.
The other a la carte restaurants are also excellent. 'La Maree' is situated on the beach with stunning views over the Indian Ocean and behind is the BBQ restaurant which provides pretty much all you can eat freshly gilled meat and fish. The Asian Fusion restaurant 'La Banyan' is also worth a visit.
The food highlight though has to be 'Chateu Mon Desire' which is apparently one of the top restaurants on the whole Island. We ate there twice and I can well believe it. The service there is excellent and the food out of this world.
On your arrival it is well worth booking the 'Gourmet pass' which comes to about £130 for 2 persons. This gives you 3 passes to any of the a la carte restaurants including the 'Chateu Mon Desire'. The pass means that can choose quite a bit off the non- all inclusive menus which are quite a bit more expensive and more varied. This makes it excellent value (and all our drinks were covered by the all inclusive).
There is plenty to do around the hotel. All our water sports including water skiing, snorkelling, sailing, the glass bottomed boat and canoeing were covered and the beach is lovely.
In short this place was nothing short of paradise and I would go back there in a second.
My only gripe is that in the evening the only entertainment seemed to be musical acts doing background music which although were very good, after almost two weeks got a little bit boring.

We were recommended to the Maritim by some very good friends, to celebrate my 50th birthday. Well this hotel is amazing..... On arrival I couldn't believe the beautiful grounds it sits in, the reception area has lovely views to the sea and very comfortable seating. We were welcomed by the staff, who I must say were exceptionally friendly and professional, throughout our entire 2 week stay.

The rooms are beautiful, beds are huge and very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The whole hotel is spotless, the food is excellent, the staff are amazing. Deven, in the buffet restaurant is lovely, if you ask for something one night that they haven't got, you can be sure you will have it the next night. Kavita is so attentive she constantly ensures everything is up to your liking and will go out of her way to ensure that you have a good time.

Mrs Vidya, Ishwaree and Miss Neelam also are excellent staff, as are Vidur and Kevin at the Deck Bar...... But to be honest all the staff are extremely attentive, friendly and very polite. The beach staff too, Dave on the beach is an absolute Gem, what a fab chap, service is brilliant by all.

The gardens and beach are very well tended, the gardener Seewoodtuh does a brilliant job, his also very friendly.

This holiday has to be the best we have ever had, and we have travelled quite a lot, I have no hesitation in recommending it to anybody, in fact we are going back next year and taking two friends plus our daughter and her boyfriend.

Trips were also very good, we walked with the lions, amazing experience, went on the catamaran, very good value for the money, and my husband had his friend did the helicopter trip, bit expensive but they thoroughly enjoyed it, well worth the cost.

All I can say is...... Don't hesitate go there you won't regret it :-))))

We spent 10 nights here on the first leg of our honeymoon.

Great hotel. Good choice of restaurants. Huge selection of food.

Fantastic service around the pool with bar staff bringing drinks to you and always handing out big bottles of cold water to keep you hydrated.

Great selection of drinks at the bars.

Spa beautiful (although treatments ranged from being very good to average). Don't book into the spa for treatments until you've seen the spa staff at breakfast. Each morning they will have special offers on throughout the day.

Our room was gorgeous and spacey with lots of comfort. Huge shower. Huge bath. Great big walk in wardrobe that easily accommodated all of our things.

Only couple of gripes would be:

a) the fact service tended to drop right off when the hotel got busier (staff would forget to bring drinks over with our meals or simply not take a drinks order at all, you could be ignored for a while whilst waiting for a table because there were not enough staff to cover the restaurant etc and also towards the end of the holiday when the hotel was busier every day we had to phone for our mini bar to be stocked up with beer and water...and then we'd have to wait a couple of hours each time for someone to actually do it);

b) you have to pay to upgrade your food and drinks in some of the restaurants. Not always a problem but the all inclusive menus in the restaurant areas would be extremely limited - if you don't want to pay extra for food stick with the buffet restaurant;

c) Chateau Mon Desir is a compete rip off. The food is expensive and the cheapest bottle of wine on the menu is about £40...and that's for a bottle of wine that costs less than £5 in England. The ambience of the restaurant isn't good either. If I were you I just wouldn't bother - put your money towards something really special as a little cash goes a long way out here.

That's just being fussy though. The hotel itself is great. Very clean. Lots of land and things to do and explore.

All in all a great start to what transpired to be a fantastic honeymoon!

We chartered a boat and went deep sea fishing - organised this through a chap on the beach and it worked out much less expensive than going through the hotel.

Walking with Lions is a must do as well!

Room Tip: We had superior deluxe
