We were upgraded to this property by our agent from another 4 star property on our visit to Mauritius on 10 th November 2012.We had vey great expectations ,but were extrememely disapponted.The rooms are very good, but the beach is very small.No water sports facility was available.
Our package included breakfast and dinner.We were served same vegetable 4 times i.e twice for breakfast ad twice for dinner.We were offered green salad as a starter as if they were doning us a great favour.The service at the restaurant was very slow.We were annoyed by the mosquitoes at our dinner time.
Luckily our agent went out of the way to shift us after 2 days to another resort where Indian vegetarian food was served.
Inspite of requesting vegetarian meal at the outset we were totally neglected.I would not recommend this resort to my friends

It is difficult to put into words just how beautiful and luxurious our stay was at the Angsana. Everything from the staff, accommodation and certainly the spa; were totally beyond expectation. We were immediately upgraded to the spa suite upon arrival and treated like royalty from there on in. Due to religious reasons, my wife and I have special dietary requirements, all of which were met by the hospitality staff. They went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were taken care of, there wasnt anything that was too much for them. I would like to thank in particular the food and beverage team, their manager Nicolas and especially Preetum for looking after us so much. Truthfully though, my wife and I would like to thank the entire staff at the Agnsana for treating us like a king and queen throughout the duration of our stay.

We had 2 exceptionnal weeks in Angsana hotel, the staff is amazingly friendly, the rooms and pools are beautiful and overall atmosphere very romantic and quiet. What is exceptionnal as well was to feel so welcome with young children, we have 2 little boys (9 months) and we always felt very well taken care of (special menu, baby equipments in the room, babysitter, etc) We highly recommend Angsana Balaclava for parents in need of rest or sport (the boathouse people were highly available and friendly, windsurf, waterski, etc) and looking for great "candle" dinners. We appreciated a lot the breakfasts and variety of dinner choices. The food is overall very good with some minor inconsistencies but compensated by the staff.
The spa has also been one of our peak moments, highly qualified staff.

We stayed at Angsana Balaclava over 10 days.. and it was indeed one of the most blissful experience we lived with my fiancee. After a long 11hours flight, we were warmly welcomed at the hotel with the friendly recepetion staff, very concerned about our tiredness. The Front Desk Manager (a French gentlemen) came personally to greet us and welcome us on what looked to us as 'a lost paradise on earth'...Even though we were previously aware that we would reach the hotel much earlier than the standard check-in time, he kindly offered us to use the room as soon as we arrived, gesture which we really appreciated, particularly after such a long & tiring journey.
Since the first minutes we entered our magic spa suite (1st floor) until the moment we left the hotel to fly back, we were treated like special guests, with particular attention and tailor-made service by most of the hotel staff.
My fiancee was delighted with the room we were accomodated in, very big in terms of space and an amazing pool facing the hotel and the blue sea. To top that, the food was mouth-watering: we understood that the Chef is from Indonesia and the results of his dishes was really ecstatic! Pritam (the restaurant in charge) was very caring and offered his best attention to us every time we visited the outlets. The restaurant is very cosy and appropriate when in couple like in our case. The rest of the waiters also made us feel at home, very family-spirit.
The best part was indeed the spa..needless to add I guess why! The service, the wide range of massages offered, the quality of the treatments, the peaceful ambiance.. all of this contribuated in making us fall in love with the resort!
We would definitely recommend to visit this hotel for all the 5* (or shall we say 6*) services provided, the professionalism and efficiency of particularly the Front Desk team and restaurant staff, the amazing surrounding with the 'out-of-the-world' feeling and the famous landscapes of the North part of the island.
