“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Great B&B in Warwick, NY. The B&B is located close to downtown Warwick and to many orchards. It has a plenty of charm as well as beautiful grounds. The owner of the inn, John, is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast in the morning was delicious as well. A fruit salad with yogurt, homemade banana bread, flapjacks (not to be confused with pancakes!), bacon as well as coffee, tea and orange juice were all served. Would definitely come back.

After attending a musical event at the nearby Warwick Valley Winery, we stayed in the Col. Wm. F. & Juliet Wheeler Room. Though we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, the bed was very comfortable and we found the furnishings and decoration charming. There is some traffic noise from the street nearby if you stay in the front of the house, so if you are a light sleeper, you might consider a room in the back.

John, he owner was very accommodating, allowing us a one night stay in a room with a two night minimum. He also gave us great recommendations for and directions to places where we could eat and grab a decent beer. The house itself has some lovely features, some of which have interesting stories behind them, such as the original painted faux marble walls of the entryway and staircase. I loved the huge old hardwood plank floors with their boards of unequal width. One big regret is that since we came in late, we didn't discover the great outside porch around back until we were almost ready to leave. We still took a while to stand out there and enjoy the air and the view, especially the huge, old peach tree with its branches loaded with fruit and arching toward the ground.

Breakfast was good, consisting of a cheese and egg dish in a casserole pan accompanied by turkey sausage, fresh fruit, homemade jam, etc. All in all, it was a great visit and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area for more music and wine.

Awesome owner, with sparkling clean rooms in historic Warwick. Breakfast was delicious and adjusted to our needs. Highly recommend! The Hearth Room with private bath and fireplace was just the romantic getaway we needed. Close to dowtown

You will not find a better breakfast anywhere! Wonderful fresh fruit, with a variety of daily entree. The frittatas were excellent, scones, muffins and bread mouth watering. I stayed in the Joel Wheeler room, and it was comfortable and very pleasant. Good mattress for my achy back! Beautiful views of the Delaware river valley, and spectacular views of the sunset.
The downstairs parlors are tastefully decorated, with beautiful antiques, and very inviting if you need workspace. The owner and host, John, was very accomodating to our needs. Excellent for business or just getting away!

I stayed at the Peach Grove inn for two nights in early June. Overall I had a great stay. I stayed in the Keeping room which is as large and lovely as noted in other reviews. It had a large bath, nice fireplace and TV. There is also a good sized patio outside the room which was a nice place to sit and chat. The room is on the ground level which made it easy for loading and unloading luggage from the car. In addition, you had to option of using the private entrance or going through the main house to get to your room. There was A/C which was much appreciated since it was a humid, muggy day. There was also wi fi which came in very handy throughout my stay.

The inn was beautiful. It is an old house with a lot of history and charming details. The grounds surrounding the inn are beautiful – well kept and absolutely gorgeous and had great views. The inn is right off of a major road way but there was no noticeable noise from my room. The bed was comfortable and the room was nicely decorated.

John, the inn keeper was great. He was very helpful. He gave great recommendations on everything from restaurants to things to do. He made a great breakfast – fruits, yogurt, great scones and tasty cheese strata. The service was very professional. Breakfast is served at one large table as opposed to a few small tables. I personally liked it. The other people staying at the inn were friendly and fun to speak to. It was a great way to get to know the other guests.

The location of the inn was ideal. It was a 5-10 minute drive from the center of town (which had the restaurants, ice cream parlors, farmers market etc.) There is a place to golf which was not too far away and a park. I noticed them on the way to the restaurants. Apparently there is a way to walk to restaurants, most of which are in the town center but I would highly recommend driving. It’s simply easier.

I personally had poor cell coverage while in the general Warwick area. If cell service is important to you call your carrier beforehand. In certain parts of the town I had no coverage. I had decent cell service in the inn. When the cell service failed I was able to use the inn’s wi fi. I had a very relaxing stay and I hope to visit Peach Grove Inn again.

Recommendations:
Farmers’ market - had a lot of variety
Grappa – great place to eat; great atmosphere
Dautaj – great for dinner; nice outdoor seating area; great service
Creamery – great for picture taking. Great views of the valley.

Room Tip: The Keeping room is very spacious and has a private entrance on the ground level.

i came here for the night on saturday and absolutely loved it. it was my first time at a b&b and i would 100% go back. the property was breathtaking and the inn itself was beautiful. the decor had great small touches and felt so homey. john was very kind, had great recommendations, and was a fantastic cook. i stayed in the Col. Wm. F. & Juliet Wheeler Room and had no complaints. the four poster bed was so romantic, the bathroom was clean (with pottery barn towels!) and the bath products were great too. there was no AC but there was a fan that kept me pretty cool. my only suggestion would be for the rooms to have pitchers of water and coffee/tea for those, like myself, that are caffeine addicted.

area recommendations:
-Grappa (for lunch or dinner)
-Foot & Tea Spa
-Bellevale Creamery
-Drive in Movie Theater
-breakfast at la petite cuisine

Early spring stay here at the inn....fireplaces still going...excellent host John....very comfortable, beautiful inn...great restaurants, we can't wait to come back!!! If you love old houses, antiques and great food like we do, this place can't be beat! Quiet, relalxing and cozy! We fell asleep in the four poster bed, watching the fire. Breakfast sumptous too. We will return again, next time for a whole weekend!

Room Tip: We stayed in the keeping room - private entrance, fireplace jacuzzi - excellent!
