This is probably the last true mom and pop cafe in Warwick since the invasion of the chains. While most Warwick restaurants(excuse me eateries and bistros) have "gourmet' plastered all over everything you can still get honest to goodness real American food here at real prices, Are you tired of zesty pesto sauce, Beef Medallions floating in something, rice pilaf and vegetable medleys? You can go here for breakfast and get 2 eggs, Silver dollar pancakes, and a real Ham Steak for less than $8. Yes, a real ham steak with the bone in it, not some make believe processed ham food like they serve at the mega burger breakfast, Same holds true for lunch. A hot turkey sandwich consists of chunks of Turkey cut from the bone not off a Hansel and Gretel roll. Lunch under $10! You'll find a short order cook in the kitchen not a high School kid with a microwave. Dinner is only 3 nights but is all you can eat buffet and usually consists of 3-4 home cooked entrees.LESS THAN $20 FOR SURE. Atmosphere is nostalgic,an old general store decorated with old Warwick photos while you sit at 1050's kitchen tables. Love retro- you'll love this. You'll also love mature waitresses who can give directions and carry a conversation. You'll never be told "So like, don't you have a GPS" It's a mile outside Warwick Village so if you desire pretentious yuppie gourmet at $25 for lunch stay in town there's plenty of overpriced clip joints. If you want to stop and eat without using a credit card I reccomend Country Dream.
