Every year my family, friends and I visit Lake George for our summer vacation but I live in NJ. I usually do not have too high expectations for restaurants up here. We were challanged looking for somewhere new to try as our group is somewhat picky and desire high quality food and Lizzie Keays came through. We were going to go to another restaurant but they had a limited menu that would not work out good for 5 teenagers that were with us. We made a reservation and they took our party of 10 no problem and sat us right away. The place/building looks new and has a simple and clean look to it. Lauri our waitress took our drink order. This has a unique liquor policy where you can bring your own wine but you have to pay $10 a bottle or you can purchase wine there. The ladies brought their own and were happy. We don't have a problem with that as they need to make money to survive. But the wine selections were also fabulous. Lauri give us some free tastings of Greg Norman wine which was actually very good. The kids were happy as they give free Wifi for their phones. The bread came out with the choice of dipping it in garlic oil or cimannon butter. Delicious. Lauri our waitress was patient as we grilled her on what her recommendations were as we wanted to make the best of this. She did a great job on selections. For appetizers the bacon wrapped scallops with a horseradish sauce, steamers, steak and cheedar soup and french onion soup were just perfect. The crab cakes were just OK. Salads were fresh with very good dressings. Really Chunky Blue Cheese and Seseme Ginger dressings were homemade. Entree's included salmon, pork tendalions, stuffed shrimp with crabmeat, shrimp and scallops Fra Diablo, steak and scrimp scampi were all excellent. The teenagers all were happy as they had a make your own pasta dish where you could custom make your pasta dish with type of pasta; sause; fillings etc. so they all got want they wanted and said it was very good. I was stuffed but others still somehow had room for deserts which included chocolate pudding cake; triple chocolate cake; ice cream with rasberry drizzle etc..
All in all a great experience and the price of the dishes were all reasonable. We will definetly come back here next year.
