“Great atmosphere.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

People are nice, building and decorations are above and beyond amazing. Its just that the food is not what I would expect and everything is too pricey.

“Alots of Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We really enjoyed our time at the Turning Stone and Vernon Downs. We played 3 card poker and had tons of fun. We had some really great dealers.

“Good shows, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Turning Stone Resort & Casino operated by the Oneida Indian Nation celebrates its 20th anniversary this year (2013). It has grown into a major regional entertainment and lodging center, as well as gaming establishment.

A stay at "The Lodge" takes one into another world; one would not even realize the lodging was attached to a casino (or located in central New York). The "Tower" is now all non-smoking (except for those who don't observe this regulation). It would be helpful if the hotel were also all non-smoking.

The food venues are varied and all the food is good; some restaurants may be a bit pricey for some, but worth the money.

The casino has a wide variety of machines (in varying denominations; though too few penny superball keno machines) and table games. The casino itself is too smokey, though better than in previous years. Some patrons pay absolutely NO attention to the locations where smoking is NOT permitted and staff seem to do nothing about this.

Drink servers on the floor, for the most part are good -- when they are around. Sometime one cannot be located for hours.

Most staff at the cashiers' locations are helpful and friendly. However, the policy of the very last communication being "is there anything else I can do for you" is MOST ANNOYING, especially for frequent visitors.

“Not a gambler, but enjoy attending shows here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I don't gamble; at ALL. But I have attended shows here several times now. It's not too bad a drive from Toronto, and some of our favorite artists play here. The showroom is set up oddly (tables placed at a 90 degree angle to the stage, if you want to be close) but the staff are always pleasant and we always have a good time. There are lots of restaurant options in the casino, which run the gamut of prices; but there are restaurants which are not too pricey and the food is fine. Shuttle service to the hotels is AWEsome and drops you right at the door.
