“One of my favorite places”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

Great waterfall with easy access by a flat trail though NYS charges to park at the entrance. Above the falls is a free lookout area but standing in the mist of the falls is not to be missed!

“We love this walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

This is a great walk - about .75 miles each way. Flat the whole way, many points where you get off the path and walk on the rocks. Lots to explore. Our dog loves this walk, we let him wade in the water & he likes to get a drink.

The waterfall at the end of it all is it's crowning glory - go!!

“Beautiful falls, fabulous playground”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Visited with my two kids in April on a cool but sunny day. First visited the falls overlook, which was stunning, then proceeded to the playground area by the lake. The playground was an enormous hit with well-maintained climbing structures and playground equipment and a beautiful view of the lake. We then walked along the gorge trail, which provided beautiful scenery and an easy hike. The view of the falls was even more dramatic from the bottom of the gorge. Definitely recommend for families with kids.

“tallest falls East of the Mississipi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Any time of year- In the summer take a swim in the lake and hike the gorge, in the winter go to the top overlook and see the frozen falls. Not the widest fall (this is no Niagara) but it is magnificent and you can easily walk right into it and enjoy it up close or drive up to the overlook for the view. Great spot for picnics.
There is a small parking fee in summer but not rest of year and the overlook is always free
Bathrooms open only in summer too

“Superb!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

Lets start with the great park with an extraordinary playground beautifully kept with lots and lots of neat and cool things for kids to do, not the standard playground, Along the shore of the lake we spent over an hour there and had to remove our 6&8 year olds by force and threats....

The nice walk to the falls was very easy and great, the falls were full of water and beautiful.

We then went back to the park for lunch and more games.

Highly recommended great place!!!
